After I visited Elizu's territory, it was time to see Azazel's territory. As I made my way toward his land, I couldn't help but feel a sense of trepidation. Azazel was known to be eccentric, and I had no idea what kind of territory he had created.
As I arrived at Azazel's territory, I was struck by the sheer size of it. The land was just as vast as Elizu's, but the theme was strange. It looked like a scientific monster horror movie had come to life. His territory was a massive laboratory, full of cobwebs and strange, metallic equipment.
The air was thick with a sickly sweet smell, and I could feel the hairs on the back of my neck standing up. The monsters that roamed the halls were not like any I had ever seen before. They were grotesque, twisted abominations, created through Azazel's twisted experiments.
If it wasn't for a special skill that I possessed, a passive that made me immune to the effects of nausea and sickness, I would have thrown up on the spot. But I couldn't let my disgust show. As the Demon King, it was my duty to treat all of my Demon lords with respect and fairness.
As I made my way through Azazel's laboratory, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. There was something about the way the monsters moved, the way they looked at me with their glowing eyes, that made me feel like I was in danger.
"Huphm, after the Master sees my fabulous territory, do you think he will be surprised by yours, which barely changed since the last visit?" Elizu taunted with disdain.
Azazel didn't take kindly to the insult. "Shut up, Elizu! I kept my territory the way Master likes it, unlike a succubus like you!" he retorted with a taunt of his own.
Elizu scoffed. "Oh please, Azazel. Your territory looks like it's straight out of a horror movie. Mine is a perfect balance of a dojo and a succubus den. Master knows how to appreciate that kind of elegance."
"Elegance? Your territory is just a hodgepodge of random things thrown together," Azazel retorted, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Besides, everyone knows that Master prefers the kind of experimentation and innovation that I bring to the table."
Elizu rolled her eyes. "Experimentation? More like playing god with innocent creatures. You might think that's impressive, but I call it cruel and unnecessary."
Azazel's eyes narrowed. "You're just jealous because you don't have the skill or creativity to pull off something like this. You're nothing but a second-rate demon lord."
Elizu bristled at the insult. "Excuse me? You're the one who can't even keep his monsters under control. I bet half of them are just waiting for an opportunity to turn on you."
"At least I have the guts to take risks and push the boundaries of what's possible," Azazel shot back. "You're too busy playing it safe."
The discussion between Azazel and Elizu seemed like a childish quarrel over who had the better toy. As the Demon King, I couldn't help but feel amused and a little frustrated by their behavior. Nevertheless, I tried to diffuse the tension between them.
"Calm down, both of your territories are good. Elizu's has a traditional charm, and I appreciate the dojo, while Azazel's is unique and important to us." I tried to sound diplomatic, but deep down, I knew that Azazel's territory was not to my liking.
As I looked around, I couldn't help but feel a sense of discomfort. The laboratory was filled with strange metallic equipment, cobwebs, and an unsettling odor. The monsters that roamed the halls were unlike any I had seen before, and their glowing eyes made me feel uneasy.
I couldn't help but think that Azazel's territory was lacking in the visual aspect, not to mention the unsettling sounds that I could hear. I knew he was probably conducting several twisted experiments in this laboratory, and I felt the need to leave as soon as possible.
"Well, I still have a lot of territory to visit," I said, trying to leave. However, Azazel's eyes widened with what looked like tears.
"But... you stayed longer in Elizu's territory," he said, sounding like a crying dog. Elizu laughed in triumph, clutching her chest in pride as if she had won a childish dispute.
I couldn't help but chuckle. Come on, Azazel, don't be like that.
But before I could say anything else, a small monster scurried up to us, flapping its tiny wings and gazing up at us with huge, adorable eyes.
"Please," it chirped, its voice sounding almost like a plea.
I couldn't help but smile at the little creature. It was so cute, I wanted to scoop it up and take it home with me.
"Sir, urgent news from the North!" A demon rushed into the room, his chest heaving as if he had run a marathon.
Azazel's eyes sharpened, and he stood up from his throne. "Report," he demanded.
The demon gulped nervously. "The Demon King of the North requests an immediate audience with you, my lord."
