Matthew looked at Lily, sleeping beside him early in the morning, with a long sigh. He stroked Lily's hair while the voice in his head kept fussing over what Matthew should do with Lily's affair.
"She's not as innocent as you think, right?" the voice inside Matthew's head laughed softly.
Matthew didn't respond to the voice inside his head and kept staring at Lily while stroking her.
"Oh, you're ignoring me again?" whispered the voice inside Matthew's head.
"Shut up! Can't you just shut up for a second? I want to enjoy my time with Lily. It would be best if you remembered you have indirectly made me cheat, too, "said Matthew.
"You must be able to know the difference between a one-night stand, sleeping with a prostitute, and sleeping with your best friend. There is no friendship between a man and a woman that is free from love. Even if it's just a little, there must be love. Especially since you knew from the beginning that Ryan liked Lily."
