Matthew and Lily finally arrived at a steakhouse with a direct view of London Bridge. While waiting for food orders for the two of them, Matthew told them what he had done while in Barcelona. Even though he had told Lily over the phone, Matthew chose to retell the full version.
Lily watched Matthew tell the story with a serious face. Although often, her attention was distracted when her cell phone that was on the table vibrated. Matthew told Lily about the finding of Gabriela's body when Lily's cell phone vibrated again. He immediately stopped his story and glanced at Lily's cellphone.
"Your cell phone has been ringing all the time. You don't intend to answer it? Maybe it's an important call," said Matthew.
Lily glanced at the name that appeared on her phone screen. "That's Ryan. Maybe he asked to be accompanied for lunch."
"Then answer the phone. Say you're with me," said Matthew.
