When morning came, Ryan was already awake in Hannah's room. He was silent as he stared at the ceiling of Hannah's apartment.
"Did you sleep well after last night?"
Hannah's voice startled Ryan, and he immediately turned toward the door. Ryan smiled crookedly at Hannah, who was standing at her bedroom door. Hannah wore an oversized football shirt that looked like a mini dress on her body.
Ryan then nodded slowly. "Do I have to go to the office today?"
Hannah nodded her head. "If you don't go to work, Catherine will chop or throw you in a pool of piranhas."
"You definitely wouldn't let something like that happen to me, would you?" said Ryan.
Hannah shrugged. "Maybe I'll consider it. I saw you came in without a suitcase. So I asked Jake to go to your house and get some clothes."
"You've always been reliable," Ryan said.
Hannah laughed softly at Ryan's words. "You want breakfast? I've prepared pancakes."
