Mr. Williams smiled broadly at the many people gathered at his dining table. His eyes then fell on the food served on the dining table. Mr. Williams then turned his attention to Pascal standing behind him.
"This dinner looks different," said Mr. Williams.
Pascal approached. "The cook in this house doesn't prepare this dinner. It's the beautiful woman over there who cooks everything."
Pascal pointed to Mrs. Thomas, who sat next to Lily. Mrs. Thomas nodded slowly at Mr. Williams.
"I'm sorry that I've used your kitchen. I hope you like my cooking," said Mrs. Thomas.
Mr. Williams glanced at Mrs. Thomas and smiled wryly. "What if your cooking tastes better than mine?"
"I'll be happy to use your kitchen while I'm here," replied Mrs. Thomas.
Mr. Williams laughed softly. He then turned back to Pascal. "You come and join us. Don't just stand behind."
Pascal looked at Mr. Williams with a look of disbelief. "May I join you?"
