Matthew narrowed his eyes as Sigmund's car entered the highway flanked by pine forests. Matthew rolled down the car window and inhaled the scent of the pine forest outside the vehicle.
Sigmund laughed softly at what Matthew was doing. "Where did you live before?"
"In the lab. You must have known from Professor Graff that I spent the last twenty years of my life in that laboratory," replied Matthew.
"I mean before you arrived in the lab," said Sigmund.
"I previously lived in England. Shortly after I celebrated my twenty-fifth birthday, I was diagnosed with rare cancer. After that, my condition got worse, and I had to undergo many surgeries," said Matthew.
"You must have had a terrible life back then," said Sigmund.
"I thought I was going to die then." Matthew then turned his attention to Sigmund and laughed softly.
"Who would have thought, now living and being part of creatures like you," continued Matthew.
