Sigmund fetched the glass of thick red liquid he had brought for Matthew. He then gave it to Matthew. "Drink. You have to drink it."
Matthew looked hesitant to accept the glass that Sigmund handed him. He looked at Sigmund. "Is this human blood?"
"No. That liquid is wild animal blood. It might not give you much strength, but it can help you survive," replied Sigmund.
Matthew swallowed. With some hesitation, he accepted the glass that Sigmund had proffered. Matthew sniffed the contents of the glass. His brow furrowed, and he immediately pushed the glass away from his nose.
"It smells like frozen corpses," said Matthew.
Sigmund laughed at Matthew's words. "But you have to keep drinking it. Seeing that your wounds still haven't healed means you need more blood."
"Before I drink it, I want to ask you one thing," said Matthew.
"What's that?" asked Sigmund.
Matthew bit his lip before he asked Sigmund. "Hmmm—"
"Can I still eat like a normal human?" Matthew asked.
