"You...who are you?! How did you know about the Seven Heavenly Blades of Chaos?!" Elder Lv's face immediately turned solemn from shock since only the grand elder of his sect knew about the sect's defining treasure!
"Haiz, and here I thought that the old man before me knew of my origin." Blake sighed dejectedly.
This in turn made Elder Lv even more confused. As someone of his status, he could call for Heaven's rise and decline whenever he wants. Never in his life did he imagine that not only his sect's ancestral teachings stated that the Saint of Chaos was the insignificant junior before him, the junior he worked so hard to find hadn't even reached Heavenly realm yet. Was his ancestral teachings incomplete? Or was his old age getting to him now? Questions filled Elder Lv as he gave Blake a questioning glare, hoping that the junior before him could clear his unfounded confusion.
"It seems you really don't know..." Blake sighed.
"I may be an omnipotent being capable of slaying gods and devils, I am not all knowing. If you could quell the confusion in my heart, whether it's good or bad, this old man will still bestow you a fortune of a lifetime."
"Guess I'll be the bigger man here..." Blake took a deep breath before continuing on. "My teacher's name was the Paladin of Death & Creation, Chaos. After the final battle in my last life, he gifted me this golden token as well as informing me that I've earned the right to become his successor..." Having said that, Blake couldn't help but become melancholic since his teacher was his everything.
But after the final battle against the world back then, his teacher had exerted too much of his strength so he could not stay by his side anymore. He had to return home to recuperate, but before leaving, he promised Blake that they'd be able to meet again in the future.
"P...Paladin of Death & Creation? Isn't that...the sect founder's title in the mortal realm?!" Elder Lv's eyes widened in shock as his face was drained of all its color.
"Oh, so you do know who my teacher is..." Blake smirked.
Without wasting another second, Elder Lv's knees buckled before prostrating towards Blake. His quick actions however stunned Blake as he only thought that the old man before him will become slightly more respectful towards him, and not this 180 degree change in personality.
"Forgive me, young master! I had eyes but failed to see Mt. Tai! This lowly old man deserves to be struck by ten thousand Samsara Heavenly Lightning, thus never being able to reincarnate again!" As Blake was still lost in a daze, Elder Lv's repeated kowtowing shook not only Blake awake, but the space surrounding them as well.
"Alright, alright! You can stop kowtowing now! If you keep this up, space is going to-"
"Boom!" Right before he could stop Elder Lv, space collapsed and a black hole formed within the Void.
"Oh, crap." Blake for once was pale with fright.
Since the current Void was the result of several heaven shattering battles back then, and that some of the battle intents still lingered around, the newly formed black hole that appeared after space was shattered now carried a divine beast's aura to it. Thus, the black hole's already terrifying suction force became 10 times more terrifying as it began devouring everything in a thousand mile radius.
"Old man, we need to flee now. If we get sucked into that black hole, we're done for!" [Blake]
"Huh? Black hole, oh....this tiny hole in the Void is called a black hole? Interesting." As Elder Lv got up, asteroids as big as cities slammed into him and Blake as it was attacking them. Elder Lv on the other hand, only used one finger to block the incoming asteroids, turning them to dust. "Oho, really interesting!
"Hey old man, what's so interesting?" While Elder Lv became immersed in studying the black hole, it became Blake's turn to protect them from the flood of asteroids. "Hey, stop ignoring me! Shit, we're gonna die at this rate!" With that, he turned around and casted a barrage of high level spells at the flood of asteroids in hopes of living this through.
"To think that this tiny hole was formed from a divine beast's divine will. After its formation, it inherited its divine will and divine ability as well as some sentience...." Elder Lv mused.
"That thing is alive? Unbelievable! Can we bring it back with us? I want to see if I can tame it." Blake stared at the sentient black hole with red eyes. It was his first time witnessing the birth of a sentient black hole and thus wanted to tame it. If he's successful in taming the black hole, he'd gain a very powerful ally that would allow him to contend with Martial Angels and Magic Saints from his home realm.
"I know what you're thinking about, young master. Unfortunately no, you wouldn't be able to tame this rare piece if work without having sufficient cultivation. Your current cultivation is so low that even just standing near it will make you lose a limb or two." Elder Lv shook his head to Blake's dismay.
"If I can't tame it, can you tame it for me, old man?" Despite being doused in cold water, Blake didn't give up and proceeded to think of new ways to bring this back with him. And since the old man in front of him has acknowledged him as his sect's young master, he decided to grab this opportunity and ask the old man to do it for him.
But much to Blake's surprise, Elder Lv began laughing instead.
