Year 2019 of the Mekajiki Calendar
500 years after the death of the Angel Executioner, the Swordfish Kingdom successfully expanded their power and became a mighty force that ruled half of Ancient Japan till the present day.
Despite only being at kingdom level, the Swordfish Kingdom was widely acknowledged by the rest of the world since it was thanks to the Swordfish Angel that freed the world from the Executioner's tyrannical reign.
The Swordfish Royal Clan currently resided in the kingdom's capital, Wanryu, which was also their kingdom's largest port city. With the mountains protecting their back and the sea at their front, Wanryu was placed in the top ten list of "Impenetrable Cities You'd Rather Not Attack".
500 miles off the coast of the Swordfish Kingdom was a small deserted island unknown to the world. There were rolling hills and lush vegetation everywhere despite the island's small size. It wasn't an exaggeration to say that this was the closest thing the world will ever have to being a land untouched by humans, free from the rivers of blood and other pollution of the world.
Alas, it wasn't completely untouched as there was a small tombstone erected in the middle of the small island.
The words on the tombstone were:
R.I.P
"Here lies Kurogetto Blake, the Messenger of Chaos, the Dragon of Death & Destruction, the Angel Executioner and a great brother. The world may only remember him as a cold blooded murderer that shows no mercy towards its targets, but his brothers will always remember him as the world's savior & a massive, massive troll."
Despite the constant weathering of time, the words etched on the tombstone were still clear and exuded boundless divine intent. The carver must have respected the person before and went all out when he carved the words on the person's tombstone.
Just then, a mysterious youth appeared in a flash of blinding light before he landed by this tombstone with flowers in his hand.
After reading out the words on the tombstone, this mysterious unwittingly smirked. 'Hahaha! I thought of myself as a righteous and upright male who didn't give way to bribes and pity, yet I was remembered as a massive troll. Man oh man, I should've trolled them harder if I knew I was going to be remembered like this.'
The mysterious youth's light chuckle eventually turned into boisterous laughter as he recalled those fun & happy memories he shared with his mates.
This mysterious youth was of course Blake. He immediately returned to his home realm after dealing with Elder Lv.
A day later, Blake finally calmed down. He proceeded to use a cleansing spell to clear the grass and weeds surrounding the tombstone before he began planting the flowers he brought along with care.
As he began transplanting the flowers around the tombstone, he couldn't help but sigh dejectedly as he felt a surge of mixed emotions. Blake was probably the first person to experience this in his own realm. 'Of the countless sages that appeared along the rise and fall of this realm, I'm probably the first person to stand before my own grave like this, ...damn, this feels weird!'
Thanks to the fertile land this tombstone was built upon, the transplantation of the flowers was successful and the grave became clean and colorful.
'Now that my grave is looking fine and dandy, I should take advantage of this rare moment of peace to feel out this land. Also, there's this weird feeling bugging me yet I can't put my finger on it, how strange.' Blake dusted his hands before sitting down cross legged to meditate.
3 days later…
As Blake was quietly meditating next to the tombstone, a hooded newcomer arrived on the island with flowers in their hands.
When the hooded newcomer arrived at the tombstone however, they felt incredibly shocked when they saw a complete stranger meditating quietly in their clan's most secret location. But when the newcomer released their spiritual sense to probe Blake, they didn't find anything about him. It was as if the person in front of them was but a mere mortal.
"Miss, are you here to pay respects or are you here to probe me? If you're here to pay respects to the person within this grave, then do so quickly. The person within this grave was an impatient man when he was alive. Standing there any longer might incite a century's worth of bad luck to your family." Without opening his eyes to take a look at the newcomer, Blake immediately identified the newcomer and interjected her thoughts with a flat tone.
"Who are you?" The newcomer lifted her hood to reveal long brown hair, a pair of phoenix eyes with an oval face. The newcomer was actually a beauty who could topple cities with just their smile alone. Alas, she met Blake.
Blake on the other hand, continued to reply to the beauty with his eyes closed, which in turn infuriated the beauty. "Blake Chaos, and you, miss?"
"Carla Swordsaber." The beauty replied.
"Carla Swordsaber…it's a nice name."
"Thank y—"
"It's a shame that this person was born with beauty and no brains."
"Wha?"
"You tell me. You're a martial cultivator yet you don't have a martial soul. If you're not a crippled, what else can you be??" Blake coldly replied.
"A martial cultivator without a martial soul would've been disowned by any small family already, much less from the main branch of the Swordfish Royal Clan!"
