"C'mon, stop beating around the bush and just tell me already!" Blake wailed impatiently. "Tell me the name of the sect!"
"Fine fine fine, it's name is True God Sect, the strongest Heavenly Sect created by True Gods..." Elder Lv had arched his chest out when he said that.
"True God Sect...." Blake on the other hand, was mesmerized by the name since he understood some things after interacting with Elder Lv.
The old man in front of him was already Central Realm level strong, yet he was only a branch elder of the sect. This would mean that True God Sect was a hundred, no, a thousand times stronger than the Central Realms.
"Wait a minute, Heavenly Sect? What sect classification is that?" [Blake]
"Oh right, the sects under the Heavens have their own power levels compared to the simplicity of sects in Heaven. Furthermore, you mortals rather focus on conquering realms and increase their sects' class than to cultivate and quickly ascend to higher realm...Hm, according to True Mortal Resources, it usually takes 10 thousand years for a normal mortal to cultivate and ascend into Heaven. But after joining a sect, the mortal would become inclined to halt their cultivation to help their sect grow stronger, thus increasing the time it would take for them to ascend to Heaven." [Elder Lv]
"Oi, you still haven't answered my question yet." Blake replied. He felt like slapping this old man because not only was this old man long winded, but also very wily. One minute, he was in a life & death battle with the old man; the next, the old man was prostrating before him and called him "Young Master". And to top it all off, the old man just told him the sect's name without revealing anything else despite acknowledging Blake as his sect's Saint. And now it's story time.
1 weeks' worth of stories later....
"...And that's how the True God Sect came to be. Phew! Retelling our sect's 5 million year history is tough work for an old man like me."
"In short, Magic & Martial Gods are not the final level of cultivation, but are actually only the start of it. Beyond that is called Heavenly Cultivation and one needs to become a Heavenly God, the 2nd last realm of the cultivation system to survive their ascension to Heaven. Ascend with anything and the cultivator will die from the ocean of heavenly lightning that protects Heaven from foreign invaders. What else? Oh right, the True God Sect is actually just a group of smaller forces combined together to form the invincible sect despite not even having a main base. Additionally, the part where you said that the sect was created by True Gods meant that each branch force was opened by a newly ascended True God and that there are 60 branch forces under the banner of True God Sect. Is that all??" Blake said it incredibly fast since he and the old man have been going at it for an entire week now. He initially wanted to return to his home realm
"You forgot the part about Heaven having an even higher realm called True God Domain and is the dream place of many Heavenly Gods after ascension…." [Elder Lv]
"Oh don't remind me, my mind was already blown when you told me the domain of gods exists just right above the Central Realms. I can't even imagine the Abyssal Chasm one has to cross to reach True God Domain" Blake interjected flatly. His mind was indeed blown but there was some good in Elder Lv's history lesson for him. His muddled thoughts finally cleared up after knowing that he hadn't even reached the starting line of the multiverse, he's just a candle, ready to go out at a moment's notice.
"Well, that's it for our short little history lesson today. You can hit me up using your golden token after breaking through to God realm in the future. Your Saint training will start after that." Elder Lv informed him before taking out several items from god knows where. "Here are some….things that can help you in your cultivation path."
When Elder Lv finished his sentence, he handed Blake the items with a look of pure disgust and disdain. Likewise, that made Blake expect he was getting crappy items made from the cheapest metal a mortal could buy.
But upon closer inspection, he was shocked to find out that the crappy items his old man gifted him were all Realm grade treasures and artifacts as well as some God grade magic arts he had never seen before!
'Damn, this old man is too rich! Eh? Oh right, he's the Grand Elder of True Chaos Sect. I guess it is normal for high ranking members of society to treat treasures of this level as crap. Even so, being poor sucks!' Blake initially wanted to lament about the unfairness of being poor, but ended up accepting the old man's behavior when he thought about Horu doing the same thing years ago.
"If you treat treasures like these as crap, you might as well as just give me the Seven Heavenly Blades of Chaos to further increase my combat prowess and safety." Blake jokingly added.
"Sure, here are the blades." On the contrary to his saint's little joke, Elder Lv readily agreed to his request and handed his sect's defining treasures to his saint like it was no big deal. "This one handed great sword is Wrath, this heavy sword is Greed, this katana is Pride, this rapier is Envy, this gladius is Lust, this willow leaf saber is Gluttony and, this longsword is Sloth."
"Why are they not called the Seven Deadly Sins instead? Seven Heavenly Blades of Chaos sounds like a pain to say when you're in a life & death battle." [Blake]
"Well, we're Gods, not namers. We carry out our daily lives without questioning anything and everything that we come upon. Thus, it's normal for us old men to have a bad naming sense." Elder Lv replied flatly.
"..." [Blake]
