"Blake, did you really kill these 3 travelers here?" As if stunned by Blake saying that he was the one who killed the travelers, Horu asked again for confirmation.
"If I wasn't the one who killed them, did you think anyone else here would do it? This is the Void Border Office, under the supervision of 1008 Ancestral Void Council's Multiversal Trade & Travel Department, which is under the rule of 1008 Ancestral Void Council itself. Therefore, if they were to slap the Void Border Office's face, it would in turn mean that they have slapped the Void Council's Multiversal Trade & Travel Department's face! Which also means that they have slapped the 1008 Ancestral Void Council's face!" Blake stated matter-of-factly.
"And...you did it anyway without caring about my sect's face...." Horu was fighting his urge to bitch slap Blake right now.
"I killed them because they were courting death! This is entirely different from me not respecting the Council and slapping its face!" Blake said it with such a guiltless voice that everyone in the line praised him in their hearts.
They didn't know who this youngster was but the fact was, he dared disrespect the Void Council and acted shamelessly about it yet he was still alive.
If it were any of them repeating the same actions that young man did and boasted about, there was no doubt they'd end up dead while their home realm would have been banned from accessing the Void ever again.
The crowd was now watching the young man intently as they began to wonder whether the two Void Kings next to the youth would turn a blind eye and eat a loss or punish him right here right now.
Either scenarios were possible since it looked as though the blue haired Void King was familiar with the youth. The fiery color haired Void King on the other hand seemed to only know this young man just recently since he stared at the young man in shock and disbelief.
Blake looked at Horu, then at Rex, then at the crowd before he stuck his hand into an unknown space before taking something out.
It was a black wooden token with a golden colored 'death' engraved on it. Besides that, everyone thought that it looked pretty unremarkable for someone close with the Void Kings.
But the moment Blake took the black token out, Void King Rex's face paled significantly as his body began convulsing out of fear. Horu on the other hand, remained indifferent even after Blake began pouring his mana into the black token and a death like aura diffused out of the unremarkable token.
As for everybody else, their initial looks of curiosity and interest towards the trio turned into ones of shock and disbelief as the death-like aura in the air began growing heavier and heavier to the point where even the Soul Formation cultivators and 8 ringed Ring Masters had a hard time breathing.
"What is this death like aura?!"
"It feels as though I'm standing right in front of the Gates of Hell!!"
"Freak, I'm a cultivator from Hell and the death aura there isn't as heavy as this! Where the hell did that boy get that token from?!"
"Senior brother, I...I can't hold on anymore....!"
Within moments of the black token appearing, cries of fear and pain could be heard throughout the corridors as the innocent bystanders dropped one by one due to the lack of oxygen entering their lungs.
The weaker ones immediately fainted as they couldn't withstand the heavy death like aura boring down on them whereas the stronger ones however managed to hold on with the help of their strong physiques and high cultivation.
'This.....Wasn't this True Chaos Sect's Saint token?!?!' A look of shock and disbelief appeared as Rex remembered seeing this token from a powerful senior of that sect centuries ago.
Void King Rex remembered when he was only a 2nd level Void Saint sweeping the floors of the council one day when the powerful senior came and asked the Void Council to look out for a person holding onto a similar black token with a golden "death" engraved onto it.
That memory was still fresh within his mind because that powerful senior had even made the legendary Holy Void God bow towards him with respect.
Upon realizing that he had found that person requested by that senior, Rex had immediately turned to look at Horu and asked. "Where did you find him, Horu? And how long has it been since you found him??"
Having predicted Rex's reaction after Blake took the black token out, Horu replied indifferently. "I do not answer to you, Rex. Do you think a junior has the right to question their senior when the answer is right in front of him. Don't you have a brain? Use it."
"What do you mean the answer is right in front of me?" Rex was clearly annoyed with Horu's indifferent attitude but couldn't do anything about it.
Horu was a Senior Void King whereas Rex had only become a Void King 10 years ago. The sheer gap in status has already set them apart, not to mention that Horu was strong enough to contend with Void Emperors and was highly regarded by the council as well.
"You really are dumb." Horu sighed helplessly before continuing on.
"It was after the Void Council had located him through some special means that I was then sent to guide, protect and escort Blake back to his home realm. I'm not amazing enough to be able to locate him through my own means. The multiverse is vast, Rex. Finding a person here is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Even the council knew that, yet you couldn't."
Rex's face turned black but said nothing.
"Once this is over, please hand over your Void King token over to Void Emperor Lucas and return to the council to await further orders."
