After freaking out like it was the end of the world, Blake softly sighed before he dusted his shorts and stood back up.
After Rex's body lost the last of his vitality, Horu calmly opened a hole in space in front of him and a hole in space above one of Rex's palms. Then, with a small wave of his hand, the council token in Rex's hand got sucked into the first hole and reappeared out of the second hole in front of Horu.
Blake who was watching from the side made a mocking gesture after he witnessed Horu's dramatic way to keep his hands cleans.
1 hour later...
"Damn, that took longer than expected." Although the whole process was silent, Blake couldn't help but fidget from time to time since he was a person who just couldn't sit still.
After having their documents checked and signed by the Void Saints, Blake and Horu left the Border Office before heading down the corridor to use the latrines.
At the same time as the two left the Border Office, a Void Saint who was talking on the phone earlier stopped talking as he slid open a drawer before taking out a piece of paper from it. A string of numbers was handwritten in blood across the piece of paper. Punching that string of numbers into his planetary phone, the Void Saint checked to see whether he punched in the right numbers before proceeding to dial it.
Within 3 seconds of the number being dialed, the call connected.
There, the Void Saint hurriedly put the phone by his ear before he began speaking into it. "Good evening, Sir. My name is Ligma and I'm a Void Saint assigned to the Void Borders separating the Outer realms from the Middle realms. I'm here to report about the whereabouts of the holder of the black token with a golden death engraved on it."
"Oh? Wait, really?!" The voice on the other end asked.
"Yes Sir, Void Emperor Horu was seen accompanying the token holder when they left the Border Office just now."
"Could you tell me the holder's destination?"
"Very well, Sir. Um...the token holder's destination is...the Untouchable Realm."
"Eh? The Untouchable Realm? Wait, ah...looks like I'm getting old. If the master came from that place, wouldn't it mean that the Saint would come from the same place?" The voice stopped for a moment before continuing. "Thank you for the information, young one. I'll let the council know of your contributions towards both the council and the Heavens." And with that, the call ended.
"Contribution towards the Heavens? I wonder what Sir meant by that..." the Void Saint mumbled before shaking this thought away. He was only a Void Saint assigned to forever work as a Border Office clerk, there was no point in thinking about that Sir's words since it did not concern himself at all.
On a small island millions of kilometers away from the Void Borders, a middle aged man was calmly drinking tea as he pondered about the news he had heard. 'The Saint of Chaos has been found. I don't know whether this piece of news is a good thing or a bad thing now. My sect was initially created to help locate and nurture the Saints of Chaos so that they will be able to lead the sect to higher realms in the future. But, it was also prophesied that the newest Saint of Chaos was a threat of Heaven that needed to be eliminated as soon as possible. Although Elder Ares has already killed that useless prophetess for defaming our saint, I still feel uneasy about her prophecy, considering most of her prophecies do end up coming true.'
10 minutes later...
The middle aged man suddenly roars at the empty Void before flying off in the Untouchable Realm's direction.
Outer-Middle realm Void Borders, Space Port A
"This is as far as I can take you, Blake. You'll be on your own after this." The indifferent Horu smiled as he waved goodbye to his target. Even if he wanted to accompany Blake a little longer, since he had just been promoted to Void Emperor, he had to return to the Void Council to await further orders from his superiors first before he was allowed to roam free again.
Blake who has been with Horu for several years now has understood his housemate's character and knew of his unwillingness to part ways with himself. Opening his storage space before taking something out, Blake threw Horu a black token similar to his own.
"What's this?" Horu asked.
"Count this as a token of our friendship after being housemates for several years. If you face any trouble in the future, be it when you're cultivating or have accidentally offended a relatively strong force and they plan to kill you, you can cash this token in at your council to request help from an extra powerful master to help solve those problems. Or...that's what my teacher told me at that time 500 years ago."
"This....is too precious-" Before Horu could deny, Blake cut him off with a threat.
"Oi, if you truly respect our years of friendship, then you better accept this token of mine. Or even better, I can cash in my token here and an almighty master of Heaven will appear to deal with your unwillingness."
Seeing that he has no way out anymore, Horu could only lower his head and accept his target's gift.
After that, Horu waved goodbye towards the departing figure of his target as he clutched their friendship token in his other hand.
