"Osoroshi Horu! Don't think that since the council favors you, you can act presumptuous here!" Rex finally cracked before bellowing. "You are merely a Void King just like me, yet you dare ask me to step down from my position! Who do you think you are?!?!"
"A Void King who had just gained enlightenment and took a step forward into the Void Emperor realm minutes ago." Horu calmly replied back.
"Say what??" Shock filled Rex's heart as he felt his 3 world views collapsed.
"You didn't hear wrong. I'm a Void Emperor now."
"Impossible! You're lying! There's no freaking way you've reached the Void Emperor realm within minutes!"
"But I am a Void Emperor now. Here, have a look at my council token. It should have evolved into an Emperor token by now."
After receiving the council token from Horu, Rex immediately released his Spiritual Sense to see whether Horu was telling the truth or not. Upon closer inspection, Rex had indeed found that Horu's council token has a white 'emperor' character engraved over its golden 'king' character.
"Eh?" Rex let out a yelp as the golden 'king' character slowly faded away, leaving only the white 'emperor' character on the council token's surface.
"See? I told you." Horu replied.
Blake, who was on the side, also felt surprised by Horu's sudden breakthrough. To think that Horu was able to reach Void Emperor realm within a few hundred years was already shocking enough, yet what surprised Blake even more was the fact that Horu was able to keep a straight face after being unable to hold it any longer.
He didn't understand why Horu still held his pee even after they arrived at the borders. Like, the toilet was just down the corridor, Horu just had to walk towards it.
Noticing Blake's gaze on his lower half, Horu mouthed 'F U' towards Blake before releasing a little bit of his spiritual pressure towards him.
Blake, who had long expected this, smiled widely as he poured more of his mana into the saint token in his hand. The saint token that was faintly humming before now crackled with thunder as an energy barrier formed around Blake to block all incoming spiritual pressure. Seeing that his spiritual pressure was unable to even cause a ripple on the barrier's surface, Horu let out a 'tch.' before retrieving it back.
Void King Rex who was still dumbfounded by his findings naturally didn't notice the small confrontation between the two housemates. 5 breaths later, Rex's face had already become pale as he spat out a mouthful of blood from time to time due to the collapse of his Dao Heart. Cracks had first appeared on his Dao Heart back when he had use a forbidden technique to glimpse into the mysteries of the Dao of the Void and broke through to Void King realm; his Dao Heart cracked again when the council elders told him to cast away his own pride and instead show reverence towards a normal human being when he reaches the border; and finally, his Dao Heart collapsed due to being unable to accept that Horu reached Void Emperor realm first.
"Wow, who knew your sudden breakthrough to the Void Emperor realm would cause someone's Dao Heart to instantly collapse. As expected of my housemate, you truly are amazing." [Blake]
"Heh, truth be told...I already knew about Junior Rex's unstable Dao Heart. Ever since he became a Void King 3 thousand years ago, he has been unable to deepen his understanding of the Dao of the Void and has stagnated at the Initial stage of Void King realm. When the council began investigating his case, they found out that Rex used a forbidden technique that exchanged one's life essence for catching a glimpse of the Dao of the Void's true form.
Upon finding this out, the council initially wanted to immediately kill this idiot for exchanging his life for a quick breakthrough, but they soon changed their mind...killing a Void King over this matter was not worth it as others would see it as a chance to go against the council and be kicked out of the central realms. Instead, the council decided to assign Rex to the Void Borders for all eternity as atonement for his own greed." [Horu]
"Alright, alright, alright! We've only been here for an hour yet a Void King is dying at a rapid pace...Is it just me or do you think that I'm cursed?? A person will undoubtedly die when they become directly or indirectly hostile towards me and my friends. If it's the latter, I'd better head over to the Church of Angelic Demons to wash away this curse." Blake joked.
"You do know you're still banned from entering that place, right?? The stunt you pulled 500 years ago has thoroughly scarred the Pope of the Church of Angelic Demons so badly that he locked himself in his room, unwilling to come out for 300 years straight. After that incident, you and your entire realm has been blacklisted from all Holy Lands of the Middle realms." Horu replied in a flat tone.
"Wait, even Theme Park Holy Land??"
"Even Theme Park Holy Land." Horu nodded.
When he heard that he was even banned from his favorite Holy Land, Blake's knees buckled as he screamed 'Nooo!!!!!!' at the ceiling for 30 or so breaths of time.
The spectators who were still conscious looked on at Blake with pale faces and trembling bodies. They could not fathom how powerful would one's background be to be able to make the Void Borders your backyard and a Void Emperor as your servant. They felt their three views collapsed as they watched a young man no stronger than a Golden Core realm expert mocked the Void Council and got away scot-free. And that was just the start of the youth's horrors.
The token that the young man took out possessed such thick malevolent aura that was even able to affect the souls of Soul Formation realm experts greatly, much less to say about the people weaker than them. Currently, there were about 70 or so people of different races and cultures lying unconscious in front of the Border Office.
The Void Saints who came to check out the commotion were taken aback too when they saw the bodies lying everywhere. As for Void King Rex, he stopped vomiting blood 5 breaths ago and was now lying on the ground lifelessly.
