"Heh, save the sarcasm for later Blake, since Father may not be the strongest here , I have no choice but to take this seriously...Otherwise Father may just lose his life due to careless arrogance...Hahaha" [Horu]
"Your arrogance is already showing though," Blake pointed out.
"That's...Ah, screw it!" Horu raised his Black Cosmic Longsword and immediately sent out 3 sword waves at the groups with the most people in them.
When the cultivators saw this, they immediately pushed their strength and released their defensive artifacts hoping to block these attacks. But when the sword waves hit the first person in the front, the sword wave ignored the defensive artifact he held and sliced through the cultivator's body like tofu. The remaining cultivators standing behind him were also sliced without stopping. 2 other groups also died like this. Within a few seconds, 30 plus corpses laid on the ground, motionless.
"Terrifying!" Everybody else thought.
They didn't dare move in fear of getting cut down mercilessly like the previous guys. Even the masters within each group were struck speechless, they were both in awe and fear of Horu, even their clothes were soaked.
"Haiya, Horu...Decrease the strength you're using please. I wanna enjoy a good battle, not a one sided massacre that ends in a minute!" Blake chided in from the sidelines.
Horu nodded once before preparing another 3 swings, this time he made sure to decrease his strength in each slash to avoid one shotting his enemies. His friend and target of observation said he wanted to enjoy a good show after all, so how could Horu be impolite and ruin the fun?
Not wanting to die, some people that haven't been slash dead yet started to push their strength and envelop themselves in qi, others took out their defensive artifacts and armor and began to madly pour their qi into it.
Furthermore, Blake would occasionally look up from time to time and stare at the doomed people with a thoughtful look plastered on his face.
"So that's Ten, a flexible yet firm type of qi found only in the Fallen Potato Realm cluster; and that's the so called Origin Yang Body, said to be immune to all sickness and diseases but sucks at blocking attacks...That group that was just cut down cultivated a wind and lightning martial art, the wind and lightning elements around them were more abundant than anywhere else..." Blake inspected carefully.
Horu noticed this but did not interrupt Blake's thoughts. He knew his friend was observing and comprehending the various types of qi, martial arts and body cultivation techniques here to further enhance his own comprehension of the Martial Dao. Horu continued to hack down enemies group by group, soon littering the entire dungeon's entrance with corpses.
10 minutes later...
"Yo Blake, do we need to clean...*Points at the mountain of corpses*...this up? I'm not really familiar with the dungeon rules." [Horu]
"Besides looting them, what else is there to clean up?? *Gasp* Don't tell me you are into necrophilia?? It's alright, I understand. I'll look the other way this time." [Blake]
"What?! No no no no. No, I don't have necrophilia. *Shoots 2 middle fingers at Blake* Also, I'm older than everyone here so there was no way anyone could have caught my eye. Also, if you're done with your jokes, let's go." [Horu]
"Okay okay, let's enter the dungeon." Blake said while holding his hands up.
After looting everyone's dead bodies, they made their way down the dungeon in a carefree manner. Blake was smiling the whole journey down whereas Horu just kept releasing [Shock Palm] one after another at incoming monsters.
Floor 1 - Slimes
Nothing interesting happened.
Floor 2 - Big Slimes
Nothing interesting happened.
Floor 3 - King Slimes
Nothing interesting happened.
Floor 4 - Goblins and Slimes
Nothing interesting happened.
Floor 5 - Goblins and Orcs
Nothing interesting happened.
Floor 6 - Goblin Kings and Imps
Nothing interesting happened.
Floor 10 - Safe Zone
"Well that was bullshit, there weren't any strong monsters nor were there any treasure." Horu complained as he stretched his body.
"Well, Malkai's Tomb is still one of the most popular dungeons here in the Void. It'd be weird if the beginning floors weren't cleaned out after an insane amount of dungeon diving and excursions organized by the various large guilds and sects under the Heavens. Also, I'm pretty sure the next few levels will give you some excitement at least." [Blake]
Floor 11 - Wyverns
"Fuck, Blake! Isn't this overkill?! Why are there wyverns already when it's only floor 11??" [Horu]
"Well, this is a dungeon after all, where anything is possible. But you're right about one thing, wyverns were said to appear at floor 30 and below...Why are there so many now?" [Blake]
"Let's just find the exit and get out of here! Eat my sword you fake dragon!" [Horu]
"Technically wyverns are descendants of Sky Dragons so they're not really fake." Blake chided in.
"It's an insult, Blake. An insult!" [Horu]
Floor 13 - Graveyard
"Well that's a lot of skellies...Zombies too." Blake said as he unleashed three [Shock Palm]s towards the horde of undead. Each [Shock Palm] shredded through the horde like tofu. The stragglers were then killed off by Horu.
"Man, I really just want to use [Void Dash] here. There's so many undead here that it's getting pretty unpleasant, and the smell...Horrendous!...Unless I get something good in the labyrinth later, this trip is a total loss." Horu said gloomily.
"Yeah yeah, quit complaining. You're the one who suggested we should come here in the first place. But somehow, I became the guide." Blake retorted.
Floor 15 - Labyrinth
"Whew! We made it." Blake announced. He got sore muscles from releasing [Shock Palm] at every enemy.
"Why do you sound more tired than me? I did most of the monster killing just now!" [Horu]
"Oh sure you did, navigation is as tiring as slashing at others. I've been releasing my Spiritual Sense as a GPS the entire journey so my Spiritual Sea is almost dried up." Blake replied.
Since at the entrance, Blake's constant use of his Spiritual Sense had drained him mentally. He proceeded to find a quiet corner and meditate to replenish his Spiritual Sea.
Horu on the other hand decided to scout ahead first. This floor was named Labyrinth which not only contained the Labyrinth of Fallen Rings but 2 other mazes as well.
From the entrance of floor 15, if you take a left you'll see the Maze of Grace. Veteran explorers will tell you that the maze holds incredible treasure and artifacts for one to claim, but the manuals and artifacts are only suitable for women. Many male adventurers and explorers came out weeping because nothing suited them nor could they fight the women allied with themselves.
Go straight, and you'll reach the Moving Maze. Once entered, you'll have a hard time getting out. No, you can't leave a trail of breadcrumbs. When the walls move, the initial path you took will disappear, forcing you to find another exit out. But, the treasures there are still worth it.
Finally on the right, there's the legendary Labyrinth of Fallen Rings!
