4 hours later...
"Why are we still standing around, Horu? It's been 4 hours since we arrived, how come we're not several floors down by now? The entrance is right there! Let's go??" [Blake]
"Stop whining Blake, is this your first time here? Do you not know that we have to be fair and just in this dungeon run?? Even if we have to stand for a whole day, unless everybody arrives...We will not enter the dungeon. Now go meditate in the corner there." [Horu]
"Fine." [Blake]
Blake left Horu and walked over to a spot in the corner of the island, sat down and began to meditate quietly. As he meditated, he questioned himself on the rules and ethics of dungeon diving. He soon found an answer to his impatientness.
In a clearing 100 meters away from him there, sat a group of people surrounding another young man meditating. That particular group of people had both of their hands pressed on the floor, magic circles grew from them as runic symbols danced within these circles.
After focusing his attention on the magic circle, Blake's eyes lit up, muttered something quietly then clenched his fist and encased it with magic power slowly. Once he finished charging up his secret attack, he immediately unleashed it at the group of people in that clearing. That mass of magic power flew silently towards the group.
Surprisingly, no one within that group noticed anything until the mass of magic power appeared in front of them. Before they were able to put up any defensive spells or artifacts, the mass of magic power exploded.
At the same time as the mass of magic power exploded, Horu, who was cheerfully greeting everybody, paused in his tracks and looked around, obviously confused.
"Huh?? What happened? Why was I greeting everyone I met enthusiastically?? I'm a Void King, I am already the strongest being here. Since when did I have to make connections with other forces?? Ugh, my head..." Horu was clutching his forehead for a good while. "Ah right, where is Blake? I was supposed to monitor him but here I am...confused about my situation...?" [Horu]
Once Horu spotted Blake meditating quietly in a corner, he immediately ditched and ignored the group of people he was casually talking to and met up with Blake. The people of that force were confused as to why they were being ignored by Horu who was the one who chatted them up in the first place.
But before they could take action due to their displeasure about Horu's sudden change in attitude, their visions blurred and suddenly became that of the floor of Malkai's Tomb's entrance. Blood gushed out of their headless bodies as they died on the spot. Everybody else who were chatting among themselves immediately heard the sound of heads dropping and turned to witness 20 men and women of a force immediately decapitated and died.
"Waaahh!" Several people screamed.
"Fuck! Did they trigger a hidden trap here?!" Another questioned.
"No, judging by how they died, it was done by another cultivator."
"But, who would dare kill people from Black Sanctuary?? They're considered a top force within the Nether realm cluster!"
"Who else do you think did it? Use your brain a bit more lah! The only stranger that would dare do this was that kid there! I saw him collecting energy into his fist and releasing it just a moment ago!!" a woman from White Wing Haven pointed at Blake.
Currently at the entrance of Malkai's Tomb, there were already 20000 people from various forces gathered. And within these 20000 people were elites and masters of their own respective forces and realms. And so, they were able to catch wind of Blake secretly brewing up an attack just now. In the beginning, they did notice it but didn't say anything as it doesn't affect them anyhow. But now they can't keep quiet any longer because it affects them greatly. Heck, just because someone else killed the people from Black Sanctuary, everyone present will be regarded as enemies of Black Sanctuary.
As the groups of people discuss and prepare on how to confront Blake, they gasped and paled when Horu nonchalantly sat down opposite of Blake instead.
Weaker people looked at the two with disdain and disgust but as for the masters of their respective groups, they became as white as a sheet of paper and couldn't stop sweating. Their seniors took notice of the fear in their eyes and as normal, scorned them for being weak willed even though having higher cultivations. The masters however did pay heed to their juniors remark and instead glared at them in hopes to keep their juniors' mouths shut less they anger the duo over there.
At the same time...
"So Blake, you're saying that, there was a group of people casting a tier 5 Illusion Magic Circle in the forest over there and I was affected by it??" [Horu]
"Tier 6 but yeah, pretty much." [Blake]
"Huh, and you destroyed it with a Mana Bomb??"[Horu]
"Yep...Why? Any issues??" [Blake]
"No, I was just amazed you managed to track and destroy the perpetrators so quickly!" [Horu]
"Aw shucks, it was nothing...The casters died easily because they were caught off guard. If they were vigilant and careful tho, I would have to plan my sneak attack in more detail. This time, it was all thanks to luck." [Blake]
"Luck...Yeah right. " Horu didn't believe it was due to luck but what can he do? Pry open Blake for answers? No. And now he has to deal with idiots who are openly showing their hostility at them. "But anyways, do you also sense hostility coming from behind me??"
"Yeah but I don't like bullying the weak...You can do it, Horu." [Blake]
"Heh, not bullying the weak? Fine then!" Horu's aura flared up as he stood up and faced the crowd. "You folks better get ready to face Father's rage! Father here is extremely narrow minded so saying what force you come from doesn't matter to me, just know that all of those that opened their hostility upon my friend, Father here will personally cut them down!!!"
At that moment, Horu sliced the empty space in front of him and created a space tear before he entered it. To others, it may seem like he did a hand chop in empty air before he vanished though. Since there weren't any Space cultivators here, only Blake understood the Dao of the Void that Horu walked and cultivated.
A split second later, Horu reappeared again. But just as he left the Void crack, it seemed as though a black substance was glued to all parts of his body. With a fling of his hand, the black substance disappeared and was instead replaced with pitch black armor. Every piece of his armor exuded an aura equal to that of Realm grade artifact armor, the long sword by his waist exuded an even more powerful aura than the armor, maybe equaling in power to a Heavenly grade artifact! There were several specks of light that floated on the armors' surface as well as his long sword.
"Void King Armor and...Black Cosmic Longsword! To think that you would even bring out your most precious weapon! Hahaha! As expected, Void King Horu takes every battle seriously!" [Blake]
