Back at the Seventh Circle tower, there was a meeting happening that involved all of the sidekicks and heroes in the city. In the middle of the main conference room, there was a long table with chairs filled with occupants, while everybody else was standing, and a hologram was playing in the center of the room of the news reporting some of the monsters going rampant destroying whatever and killing whomever. The whole room was silent as they listened to the report.
"This town is overwhelmed as the beast here, as you can see behind me, went rampant on this town killing 87 percent of its occupants, but by the time help came it was too late. Some Class C's came to help but they have all died, the Class B's have had a hard time but can kill it if especially skilled. If you're home and happen to see one of these things please call the number on your screen immediately and a hero will be there as fast as possible."
The hologram turned off with the woman's final words and everyone turned toward the table. There were ten heroes for each seat present there, Riot, Daylight, Beast, Simon, Abyssal, Wraith, Reactor, Jolt, Hedgeway, and Ava were all present for the first time in a long time.
Simon who sat in the middle stood up wearing a tight blue shirt and black pants, with blonde hair combed over to the side he looked to be mid-twenties but everyone knew that to be untrue. Simon had everyone's attention, even his fellow peers.
"Alright, we have been getting endless reports of these things seemingly popping out of nowhere, we are putting together an investigation to see if anybody on our side is responsible for them, If not we can assume this is an act of war."
Ava, who sat next to Simon also stood up and began to talk.
"We need these things eradicated as fast as possible, we need all of the Sidekicks to stop your Hero training and follow up on these calls. Heroes, you need to be actively looking for these things, if we can see where these things sprout from we can see who or what is the culprit. We will assign rookies to the most populated nearby towns for protection. Make sure you have a slot in the rotation so we can prevent exhaustion." After she spoke she sat down with her arms on the armrest and her hands intertwined in front of her face.
"Well said Ava, alright any questions?" Simon said looking towards the crowd.
A few raised their hands and Simon pointed his finger at a random person.
"Uhh yes, what are to do if we see the culprit, do you want them dead or alive?"
"We want them alive, if you think it's too much to handle call the hotline and ask for me, just tell the operator your name, they will be expecting all of you," Simon said before asking more questions for the next ten minutes and the meeting adjourned.
Duggar was there walking up to his mentor Daylight, who was a dark-skinned man that wore a white suit with gold embroidering all over.
"Sir, sorry I didn't ask this in the meeting you know I get a little nervous, but I have a question, what if you find someone who can kill this thing by themselves after killing his high-stakes bounty?"
Daylight looked at him with his gold eyes as if he could see right through him.
"I would bring them along, I don't know why you haven't recruited them yet, is it someone I know?"
"No, he is relatively new but he is probably on the news by now, his name is NightFall," Duggar said this with reverence as he needed to recruit more than ever.
"NightFall huh? Interesting." Daylight said chuckling to himself.
Meanwhile, when the meeting adjourned Abyssal went to catch up with Ava.
"Hey Ava, you got a sec? It's about that prophecy you told me."
Ava was heading towards the exit as she heard the request from Abyssal.
"Yes, what about it?" she replied in a cold tone.
"Well, I have a feeling it's coming true," Abyssal replied with worried eyes.
Ava turned around and looked him up and down with a stern look.
"Meet me tomorrow at the office," Ava said as she headed out the door. Abyssal was left standing there hoping he can get things right.
----
On the other side of the globe, a similar meeting was happening as the beasts didn't show discrimination and attacked everyone in sight.
In the snowy mountains of Slovakia there was a room full of people in an old castle, at the end of the hall, where the throne should be, were four people standing while everybody else was bunched up together in the rest of the hall.
"SILENCE!" an older man shouted. He wore a worn robe and had a long gray beard with shoulder-length white hair to match. He stepped forward and looked at the crowd before speaking.
"We understand the concern of everyone but I assure you we will figure out where these beasts are coming from...pfft... but if we're being honest I think we all know where they are coming from."
After his last words, people began agreeing with a vengeance in their eyes.
"Now now, relax, we have to figure this out, so if we can have all of the best trackers come forward we can get this figured out as soon as possible. I'm all up for war but do you think we're ready if they're able to produce these things? If that's the case we have to tread lightly, especially with Simon," a woman that looked like she was from the amazon spoke.
After her last words about Simon, everyone had a bitter look on their face.
She continued, "But don't worry, you will get your justice, we just need to execute before they do."
