Monteberg,
Zenith had been living off the land like an estranged survivor, his face was filthy and there was a grey towel over his hair that had grown a few inches longer. Time worked differently in Monteberg. He shivered as he pressed his back against the wall shuffling with his hands and feet across the narrow gash between both mountains with spikes in the deep below. Stones rebounded on both sides, falling and shattered on the tips, he gasped at the stakes below and from a dry throat and didn't dare take out any of the stones.
The fog made his journey a bit uncomfortable, for each step, there were dire consequences and each he did for his life, he shuffled to the end when he saw a thick root that might just be able to handle his weight and he grappled for it and swung outside the narrow space, he stiffened at the boulders below now and he reached up to the brim of the rock to pull himself up over the rock, he deemed that there was a darker cave within and shook the roots off his palm and he rolled to his side grateful to be out of the sun. A hawk screeched flying over the peaks. He was alone now in an isolated rock kingdom.
Out of his fatigue, he picked up a rock and tossed it at the thing that moved, it slipped from its previous location and it was a cross between a koala and a ring-tailed lemur, it rolled over dead on its back.
His sleepless eyes crinkled degutting the roasted creature to feed on it.
His system was still working out his scores, this place was infested with wraiths and he had a full inventory to spare from all the kills. It appeared that things were getting even more intense as all the gems were in one place, with him.
Monteberg was more deserted than a desert, it was the catacombs for any living creature that roamed there, not many survived, even if they did, it meant they had just arrived and "happened" to be passing through. The realm of the forgotten, a non-existent field of Zin.
Even the Crescere Arena had many things to thrive on but this empty gestein was uninhabitable. All the rivers were poisoned in the sense that they were mixed with minerals that were lethal to a human being and no one from this timeline would know.
He held his stomach and looked at the gems couped in his sack and conjured up an ice crystal surviving on every drop.
"This sucks,"
In the depths of the abyss, Uroghs the Silver's eyes rounded over the scrying potion and his gnarly teeth spread into a big smile, his package was coming. He was a fifteen feet long spectre in a gnarly white cloth, a blue gem was wedged to his chain. He had a big forehead lined with wrinkles, his receded white hair drifted without the wind, his body was as blue as a corpse and his grimy long fingers were wrapped around the heating cauldron watching Zenith closely.
He was in a dark void in the confines of the Monteberg containment field and a vessel that the lost legend of Monteberg put him in. His bones lay in a pile by the corner.
"Heroism, a fool's substitute for martyrdom,"
Ironically, Uroghs died for his ideals, to recreate the world and sadly, the power stones were too much for his weak mortal body and his spirit was contained here in the rock's abyss... but not his leverage. He could still wreak as much mayhem as he possibly could imagine_ yet he lacked the final ingredient. A vessel.
Lightning struck as he fetched a cauldron and poured in the potions, his hands worked diligently. "The bones of a legend," Colored smoke hovered at the ingredient's impact.
He raised an orange feather "One Phoenix feather... Endangered...Kerspian soil," It bubbled up at the dirt pieces and his eyes rose "...and...finally," He gripped his fingers to a close and the wraith screeched as his chains dragged it into the cauldron.
"The essence of a faithful soldier,"
Another wraith slipped through the crack into the abyss and screeched wafting back at his grim stare. They brought nothing back as he'd expected, but at least they served their purpose well.
The mashup was complete.
Fumes radiated out of the cauldron and his eyes glimmered at the new body. He cackled and possessed it.
...
Zenith wandered in the planes of Kerspia, a ghost town, dead fabric swayed from the rocky windows of a house under a rocky shade and he heard hounds howl in the distance, the silence caused him to pull taut. He heard the screams of a banshee, a heraldeds of death and he gasped when the ground started to shake, he toppled and the rocks nearly crushed him, luckily he fell out of the way. Gritting his teeth as he got up after scratching a shoulder.
His hologram crashed [ De-EfeAt uROghs ]
"Thanks for being of good help,"
The hail of thick black smoke roved the planes with light green and purple zest and lightning flickering within, it kept coming like a storm about to screw him over and it spun to the sky brushing dust and sand against him, thunder clapped...
Sebastian called it a 'victory lap'
"Go big or go home." He said "Don't fuss about the cradles, my experts have worked out numerous safety checks, we never really know how these people die_I mean, she was a great character,"
Guy took a deep breath gazing at the interiors of the cradle, it had been minimized and he was given two capsules and he laid down. His hopes were he would find [ Eve ] lodged somewhere, her mind would still be hovering around Zin.
Instead, he found himself where he was previously, in the middle of getting swallowed by a colossus cloud. He stepped back when it drifted and spun into the air like a tornado driving whatever was in its path away.
From the abysm of the cloud, he stepped out and the floors dented under him. He exhaled fresh air for the very first time and his tissues were growing into a membrane completing his transfiguration. His starry eyes opened and he wielded a staff that floated to him.
He had pale skin and red veins contracted from his biceps, he wore a purple cloak with silver seams that spread around his clothes like capillaries. He wore strange purple beads on his wrist and from his feet protruded yellowing toenails.
Zenith grimaced at the potent mage and he exuded white magic that was destructive.
He twisted his staff to face him " Zenith, you dare steal my crown," Lightning thundered around him as he came closer and Zenith strained his ears, he couldn't give attention to his exposé from afar and just got to detonating him.
He threw his staff aside and it thwarted the blasts and they exploded by his side leaving him unhurt.
He twisted the Rubinet gem and a stream of powdered magma and molten lava fluttered towards him. The forcefield blocked it as he walked and Zenith leapt backwards away from him.
"My turn," He braced his staff and from it, a full force of magic blew up shooting him. The blast grated a mountain to dust when he swung out of the way and got hit rolling down.
Smoke exhumed from his hand after that shot and he grinned.
Zenith used the Emerquoise and the black hydra for a plant grew out behind him tossing rocks, he turned back and consumed the plant till it shrivelled and plucked out the root tossing it his way.
He rolled out of way and the root crashed, grazing his knee and shoulder. He limped back to a brim and Uroghs swerved his staff releasing a wave of energy. He plunged back to the side of a mountain by cable and it whizzed him up to the top.
The dent on the side of the mountain downsized sliding down and he ran to the other side as it tilted and jumped.
Uroghs flew over the rubble toward him with light propelling him from his feet "Come back and fight me!"
Lightning sizzled and he held on to the edge pushing up to roll over and Uroghs grit his teeth as the Topyx exhumed a time-lapse.
"I can tell you that I'm more than capable of using them, your techniques are just childsplay,"
"Well, I can say that you're a mortal now and you're a slave of time as anyone else," His pupils dilated.
"Gotcha,"
He pulled his cabled hands gripping the other end attached to the staff and Uroghs quivered pulling back, he yanked it and his skin invigorated with power like mild electric shocks.
[ Guy ] jerked in the cradle and Brutus' eyes narrowed.
The lightning spiked and he broke out gripping his neck, they were on a free fall plummeting through the sky and Zenith crouched over his body and smashed the gem against his face, Uroghs spun him throwing him down harder and dived, Zenith gripped the ends of his eyes piercing his thumbs in.
"I would expect such foul play from a miscreant like you," He powered down punching him and Zenith coughed windmilling and the moisture from the atmosphere snaked down to freeze him and with force, he spun prostrate and used his staff to smash him to his demise and he gained traction on the edge before he crashed, gazing down at the enormous crater, the ice melted. It was empty.
A vine gripped both his ankles and he growled at the strain falling back, it gripped the end of his hair and Uroghs laughed holding the Emerquoise.
The Topyx sizzled in front of him and he tossed it away,
"No!" He let go and chased after it and the Aqua-Sapphire flashed, he turned up when a downpour flushed him away, the back of his robe could be seen on the surface while he drifted.
Zenith yanked the Topyx back and the sand curved with the wind spinning when he landed.
His robe shrunk and he groaned falling back, wheezing at the rope around his neck, his knees pushed hard against Zenith's spine and he rolled over and the string tightened when he crawled with Uroghs weighing him down. He crawled and did a double-take on the end of the staff and gripped the Columlin, smashing it against his head.
Uroghs fell back and flinched at the rocks seizing him from his neck to his feet.
Zenith flicked his finger against the Rubinet and the air intensified. Uroghs was starting to sweat as the pool of lava floated above his head.
"You think a little lava is going to stop me? I am invin_" A rock knocked him out and his head drooped.
He hissed as the lava sizzled melting his body and the rock. His spirit came off the body and he contained it in the Columlin.
"This is not the end, at the end, I have the final word!"
"It's alright Seb, quit your whining," He lowered it and tossed it up.
