Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 - Change

The family of seven gathered and sat together in the dining room. The eldest son, Fernando, and their father wore black tuxedo suits. Their mother dressed in an ordinary peach-colored sheath dress adorned with pearls. While Cresencia's second brother, Leonardo, was in casual clothes, ready for his last year in college. And the twins wore matching outfits in varied designs.

Being the only person wearing comfortable sleeping clothes, she felt ashamed to sit with them. Her recuperating period was longer than expected, and the doctor told her to dress lightly for her skin trauma to heal. It was only suitable for her to stay at home and diligently learn to prepare for the National College Entrance Examination (NCEE).

The first goal she had in mind was to familiarize herself with the foreign subjects she's about to learn and integrate them with her immortal learning foundation. As a guardian, she has traveled millions of worlds and the knowledge she has accumulated over the years was not shallow. The lower realm once believed that her room was comparable to the library of heaven, where priceless pieces of ancient and modern records exist infinitely.

"Cie, I've hired some tutors for you. They will help you learn a few subjects and prepare for the upcoming entrance examination" her father's voice broke the silence as they ate.

She looked up and nodded. She's thinking about how she'll deal with the upcoming schoolwork alone, and now she won't need to. Having an accident also excused her for a sudden behavioral change.

She doesn't need to pretend to be the original owner, but someone with a new character.

"Thanks, dad-- it'll be beneficial for me," Cresencia answered

"Cie, I've already bought a new phone for you, the old one broke, so I found someone to replace it with an upgraded version. Your second brother and I decided to install a tracker app, so we'll know where you are at all times."

"Thank you, brothers" she was very grateful because the feeling of being protected is something she'd never had before

"By the way, I've sent a gift on your new WeChat account."

"Thanks, mom," and her burden about money lessened, she's the eldest miss, and black cards were not uncommon, but her family would trace that if she spent it on something, so somehow she hesitated. There's an urge to open a secret account behind their backs.

"Mom, can we bring big sister to a snack bar?" Emilio asked

"You should ask your sister and don't forget to bring more guards, you boys know she's still in the recuperating period, and you cannot stress her," their mother answered, reassuring them that it's safe to go out with more bodyguards

"But won't we attract more attention by bringing more guards?" Avelino disapproved

"Well, our guards are capable of wearing casual clothes. That way, it won't be too eye-catching, you cannot change my mind, little one, so go with them or don't go at all," Julia commented back, unwilling to let her children wander with bare protection

"Mom's right, kids, need protection-- just listen to her," Cresencia added, feeling happy about sharing the responsibilities of guarding her brothers

Her mom winked at her.

"Sis, you've changed into someone so-- so obedient!" Emilio frowned with a look of helplessness. Before, her sister was someone who would love to sneak out and go on her adventures, but right after the accident, she changed into someone with an unrecognizable personality. The rebellious phase was gone, and even the unruly dress code of their sister vanished in the wind.

"People grow old and become more responsible," she answered truthfully

When breakfast was over, everyone went to do their things. Cresencia stayed in her room, a little hesitant about going out and exploring the city with her brothers. But she knew how much she needed a makeover.

She grabbed a pair of flat sandals, lengthy wide-legged fashion pants that would let her skin breathe, and a dark long-sleeved crop top. The mirror reflected an unparalleled beauty with an ancient dragon ring.

"How did I-- I brought our ancestral heirloom?" she gently touched the ring on her hand, which abruptly appeared out of thin air, afraid that she might not see it in one blink.

They arrived at the mall not long after. People were crowding the whole floor. And it's good that they brought bodyguards over, which acted as a shield to them from prying gazes. None of them knew what event made tons of people come. But they still walked as calmly as possible, without noticing a group of businessmen bypassing them.

There were tons of brightly decorated shops waiting for customers. She's not idle either, and she walked into a high-end salon with her brothers. The shop they chose became empty, and its doors closed behind as they entered.

There was exclusive signage on the door, which could only mean that important guests were inside, which usually happens when the owner's children come to freely taste the benefits of being serviced luxuriously by their people.

The boys were very excited as their sister allowed them to decide what hairstyle best suited her.

"She looks best with black curls!"

Cresencia's current hair was dyed in different colors, damaging her roots. Her family usually complained about how she changed her hair color weekly. The thickness of her makeup was also disgusting, and she loves to wear boyish outfits. Nobody knew that her role in missions used to be the intellectual agent shifter, who needs to change how she looks a couple of times in a day. And the horror of her makeup covers the advantages in her appearance that can cause serious troubles.

One day she was sent abroad to learn etiquette and the right way of dressing. Sadly, her addiction to hair color was still unstoppable. And finally, her parents decided to call her back and transfer her to an elite private school where she belonged.

Qin's family is the wealthiest hidden family in the imperial capital. The family's sons were well-known in society for their abilities, but the sole daughter was stubborn. She went with her grandparents to the countryside and enrolled herself in a private school where she thought of living an ordinary life. The military occupied her days, and her involvement plays a little abnormal.

So her place as the eldest miss was long questioned by society. They knew she existed somewhere, but not her appearance, demeanor, and intelligence. When the news of her appearing in the royal's high school, everyone felt excited to meet her.

"Let's do it," she whispered as the experts worked with her hair.
