Chereads / The Unstoppable Trio: Book 1 / Chapter 27 - Contingency Plan

Chapter 27 - Contingency Plan

"Are you Doctor Maria?" Swara asked. Since she wasn't the one who had completed the quest, she had no knowledge about what it was about.

All she knew was that there was this one weird guy, 'Wheretheelves', who would go around the town, completing any and all the quests he could find, even the ones repeatable were at least once completed by him, and he would always post about his latest quest on social media.

At first, he wasn't really known by anyone, but he completed some Hidden Quest he said he got from Doctor Maria in an orphanage, after which he got crazy strong, and he gained a lot of followers too.

The only other information she had about the quest was that she had to defeat a super strong Level 15 undead Boss monster, which was public because he had livestreamed the fight. The fact that he defeated him on his first try was even more astonishing.

People would record and post or livestream all kinds of stuff in the game on social media to get famous. It was a pretty common occurrence, but him being Level 10 had blown out of their minds.

At least until someone pointed out that he was exploiting a bug a couple of days later, which was promptly fixed by the developers.

But the damage was done, he had already defeated the boss once again when it had respawned and had gotten more good items, some even epic grade.

The truth was that the game was very rewarding. During the first few months, even Semi-Epic grade items were relatively easy to get.

While Epic items were rarely handed out, unless one had just done a rather difficult quest and also had great luck. Legendary items were, well, stuff of the legends.

Which was why Swara had come here, any and all items she could get, she was going to and she could just save the items that she couldn't use.

After all, she was pretty sure they would meet Kanna soon for the Guild Ingot. She wasn't sure on the when though, only the who.

So she decided to find at least one or two of the other materials that she could remember was needed for processing it.

But before that, she had to make sure to get this quest.

"May I know what you are here for?" the lady asked. The stern gaze of the old woman gave her the answer she was looking for.

"Nothing, actually. Wait, no, I'm here to make a donation."

{Well, since no one is there to guide me, might as well make a donation since I am here.}

"Oh! May I ask how much a Hero is willing to give away for these little kids?" she snarled at the Hero part. Maybe she wasn't a big fan of them?

"I have 1 Sair, 912 Telks and about 250 Coirs. I would like to donate everything except the 12 Telks and the Coirs." She said, after checking her inventory, and looking back at the Doctor, whose face had widened eyes and slight smile.

Swara was pretty sure that neither Gagan nor Himu would mind, this was no different than any of her charities or NGOs that she had established in the real world.

If, somehow, one of them got mad at her, then she had no excuses for what she did, if, somehow, her charm also didn't work, then she might need a contingency plan, so she decided that...

"Also, can I adopt this little one? I am willing to pay the 10 Telk fee." She pointed with her head at the little boy in her arms.

{If the big guns won't work, time to bring out the grenades.}

Author's Note: Legendary items were stuff of the legends.

Wow! Never would have guessed that in a million years. (*huge eye rolling*)

Wait, why would you roll a legendary grade eye on the floor?

Also, the gift for Himu cost 1 Sair.
