*Gagan POV*
"I hope there is atleast one monster around." Rudra said as he pushed another bunch of leaves aside.
He had been walking for about 10 minutes but only saw a few butterflies and worms, nothing more than insects. In total, it had been about 4 hours since he fought monsters now.
According to the map, they had already searched through about 80% of the place, yet neither there were any monster encounters, nor was there any sign of another cave.
{I'm starting to think that Swara's hunch might be wrong.}
Nevertheless, just as he was about to move ahead, he found it!
{ I fricking found it!!}
There was a group of hyena-like creatures.
"Finally! Something." He jumped on them and swung his sword. Two of the hyenas died on the spot. "Huh?" They were shocked. The hyenas were surprised because they just got attacked out of nowhere and Gagan thought that those creatures were weak. He didn't realize that his attack had gone through the heart of the one hyena and beheaded the other.
They were Level 12-13 Creatures from the Vasty Savannah north of the Lubnit Forest. He didn't know that. Why were they Level 12 when the maximum in the Lubnit Forest was Level 10? He didn't care, he only knew that he thought they would be strong, considering his level, but his hopes were shattered when they fell in one swing.
It took him about 10 more minutes to take care of the remaining 5 hyenas, during which he recieved a couple messages from Himu and some system notifications which he opened after the battle was over. He decided to see what Himu wanted to say first.
"What the hell are you doing bro?? I asked you to find a cave and you are fighting monsters."
"And how did you even manage to find monsters in this abandoned place?"
"Hey! It wasn't my fault! Their were monsters standing there! Doing nothing! How was I not supposed to fight them?" He texted him back.
"Well whatever, just come back. Thanks for the 2 Level ups though." a message came back.
He checked his status screen and realised that he was now Level 7. Somehow, he was reminded of the previous game they had played. It was the first MMORPG the three had played together. Forming their own guild, where Gagan was the guild master because Himu and Swara wanted him to be. Even though, it was Himu who managed everything despite only being an elder. The vice guild master Swara would only craft potions and equipment for the guild. She didn't fight. She didn't like to. So he was genuinely surprised when he saw Swara easily kill a couple of wolves today, but he thought that maybe she had grown up.
This made him snap back to reality as he realised that there was loot to be collected.
He picked up everything and grinned as he messaged Himu, "Big brother's got a gift for you."
"What is it?"
His grin widened.
On his way back, he recieved the same notification for about 20-30 times every minute. So he recieved about 120 messages in the first five minutes, after which he decided to run because he knew Himu would probably explode in excitement.
{He's still a bit of a slow typer.} He thought as he made his way back to the older cave through the map which told him the location of Himu and Swara. It showed that she was inside the cave while he was outside it.
When he reached where his little twin brother was, the guy ran up to him and acted like a complete 10 year old. This was how he was. Though he was smart and bit cunning, he was a complete child when it came to dragons, gifts by his siblings or microorganisms. Too excited.
"What is it big bro? Your gifts are always the best! What is it? Is it staff? Or a cool outfit" He widened his eyes, "Or did you find me a sister-in-law?"
He genuinely wanted to know, he wasn't even realizing what he saw saying, though he would be happier if his brother did find someone to truly love, his big brother hadn't had a relationship even though he was popular. Even though Himu himself had been in love twice, despite not being much popular, though each time it successfully ended with a break-up.
Gagan took out the gift and showed it to his brother. Himu's eyes glowed after seeing it and he looked at Gagan as though he was looking at a god giving him a treasure.
