Chereads / The Unstoppable Trio: Book 1 / Chapter 10 - Isaella Rides Loki

Chapter 10 - Isaella Rides Loki

"Werewolf! Let that lady ride you and run on your four legs, you'd be faster that way, we'll handle things this side." Shinigami shouted as he dove to the side with her. Gagan, Himu and presumably Isaella on the other side.

Himanshu looked confused first but after a few seconds, nodded and swung the woman on his back, running towards the direction of the town on all four limbs.

He didn't know how, or why, but running like this felt much more natural to him, even though it was just his first time using his hands along with his feet to run.

{I guess the guy was right, but how did he know that, he's a vampire, not a werewolf, and more than likely a lone one and it hasn't even been more than a few hours, he definitely knows something, but if being a werewolf increase my sense of smell and lets me run faster like this, what would be Swara and Gagan bro's powers? Would they be the same? Or would they be different? And why is Swara acting so strangely in the past few days. Something is definitely up, she feels like a whole different person, but nothing happened in the past few days....}

Just as he was lost in his thoughts, he received a system notification.

[You have obtained the race skill Wolf Walk]

"Wolf Walk

Grade: Race

Description: Allows you to walk on all four legs, temporarily increasing AGI by 25%.

Effect: 10 minutes

CD: 30 minutes"

His silvery grey eyes widened in surprise.

{This skill didn't require me to use a skill book and it belongs to the race, I don't think there was such a method to obtain skills, meaning they must have different powers then, but it still doesn't answer how the lone vampire knows about it...}

"Thank you, Sir Hero. Would you be willing to tell me my saviour's name?" Just as he was about to go off in his train of thoughts, he was interrupted once again. This time, it wasn't a metallic voice, but rather a sweet voice, one that felt like it was dipped in honey a few times, it had something irresistible about it.

The lady looked like an older version of his last girlfriend.

This reminded him of his second ex-girlfriend, the first one only loved money, which was why he had broken up with her. The second one, Mabel, though, she was a different story, she really did love him, but it was his bad luck, that no matter how much he tried, he couldn't have time for her.

She was from Canada and had come to the university he studied in through a student exchange program, so naturally she didn't know anything about this grey-haired boy, and their classes were different too, but once he helped her in finding some books in the library next to the university, that was when he met her first. Realising that they were in the same university and that both of them were alone, they sat at the same table and starting talking in low voice (alongwith a teeny bit of studying, maybe), and never did she once mention his silvery grey hair.

She had fair, unblemished skin, which looked like freshly fallen snow. Her long, dark brown hair, a contrast to her fair skin, fell to below her waist even after her attempts to have them up. Wisps of her hair blowing across her face. Her eyes were a deep blue, looking into into her eyes Himu always felt like there was a never-ending ocean in there.

After that day, he started finding excuses to spend time with her. Something felt different in his heart. Slowly but surely, she also grew fond of him, and they started dating.

But as luck would have it, after a few days of when their relationship had begun, during the summer vacation, he was put into seclusion by his grandfather for a test. He couldn't reach her in any way, and by the time the few weeks ended and he came back to the university, she wasn't there, her number wasn't working, he couldn't reach her... again.

She had flown back to Canada when she heard that her mother wasn't in a good condition, shortly before his examination ended. Even though he remembered her phone number, because he had photographic memory, he still couldn't reach her with his new smartphone.

Hence, each of them ended up believing that the other didn't want to be with them, therefore the relation ended unofficially.

"Sir Hero? Why did we stop? Sir Hero? SIR HERO!!!"

"Oh, sorry." he rubbed his eyes a bit, "I was a bit lost in my thoughts."

"Oh! It's fine, though we have been standing here for the past 2 minutes."

"I'm sorry, your highness."

"What?...." Isaella looked at his face, shocked and perplexed.

"Nothing" he said, as he started walking on his hind legs, realising that he had been walking on all four for ten minutes now, meaning that the effect of the skill was over.

The lady was surprised by this, but nevertheless started walking too.

He thought for a moment, before he decided to bluntly ask, "So, are you the queen or the princess?"

Isaella looked at him with eyes furrowed, after which she nodded and just said, "Princess." after which she focused on the path again.

Himu understood she didn't want to talk anymore, hence he continued on the path silently as well.

He had seen his fare share of anime and movies because it was the favourite of his lovely little sister. Her favourite romantic comedies in movies, and the Isekai genre in anime.

Without anymore words or troubles, the two of them reached the town safely.
