Of course, Himu wanted to fight the wyvern, albeit not a dragon, it was the next best thing.
But he didn't have a choice, after he had shared the quest with him and they were walking towards the lair of the beast, Shinigami had told him the fact that the red wyvern's and some species of dragons had Almentite for their hides. It was a very tough insulator of magic. Piercing it with a sword would be ten times easier than harming it with magic, especially the thunder and light kind.
So, although he was eager to try out his new toy, knowing that it would have no effect other than maybe telling the monster his location or, best case scenario, distracting him long enough for the team to land a critical hit on its eyes or something, he swallowed down his excitement. He asked Shinigami what his plans to defeat the wyvern were, and wanted to come up with his own, but he just winked ar him, gave him a big grin and said "I'll tell you when we're there." Still, he made plans and discussed them with his siblings, despite having no knowledge, but being given the task to escort the lady was not included in them and someone had to do it.
He wished he could change his class to something other than mage. He loved dragons, so much that when he was 7 years old, after watching a legendary tale (movie) about an ogre with his bestfriend donkey, he had actually bought a donkey that closely resembled the one from the movie. Just because the donkey in the movie had gained the fancy of a female dragon. It was a 2030 remake of an even older animated film.
He couldn't do that though, not change his class. According to what the officials from Order had told on an interview that was broadcasted almost all over the world, there was no way to change their classes, only evolving what they already had.
Even if they wished to delete their character and start a new. They couldn't. Their were only two requirements to play the game, first was easy, you needed to buy the special headset of the company. It didn't support the normal ones.
The second condition being that you could only have one character linked with a headset. It couldn't be deleted, and if a new headset was used, the user would be banned. If someone else tried to use your headset to control your character, instead of you, they would be banned.
Atleast, that was what the official said, telling people to be careful with their choices.
Still, the trailer of the game had created too much buzz, the realism, the lore, the emotions displayed by the NPCs were simply mind-blowing, especially the female elves and fairies (though for other reasons *naughty wink*), add to the fact that the headsets were priced only about one-twentieth more than the normal ones, and what it would result in, would be that the all the headsets released, despite their huge numbers, were sold within 48 hours, every month they were released, for six months.
Himu was currently back in the ancient Greek style city of Helbens, contrary to the normal, Middle Ages Europe type setting in most games, outside the yellow house as he waited for the quest notification to pop up.
They had just reached the house when Tolm ran up to his mother after opening the door.
"Quest Completed."
"Rewards:..."
He didn't even take a look at the quest rewards, as soon as the notifications popped up, he ran off at full speed towards the direction he came from.
He didn't like the idea of leaving his siblings with someone he didn't know, or even trusted for that matter. He was just letting him come along because he was somehow knowledgeable about the game.
He ran as fast as he could, until he bumped into a short female dwarf and fell.
