Siege wasn't in the mood for fights. But when a strange figure in the distance walked towards him, he didn't move. The man was much poorer than Siege.
Siege had been fortunate enough to be taken under the care of Victoria. The man in front of him lived on the streets, no one there to protect or love him.
But Siege also learnt that the most desperate ones were the most dangerous. They will do anything to steal. So the boy kept his distance, making sure he didn't make eye contact with the man. He blankly stared into the distance. Every second, the tension in the small alleyway was building...
His curiosity had got the better of him. A sound from the other side made him investigate. He was not afraid to go into the seemingly empty alleyway thanks to his System...
The silence seemed to last for an eternity. The stranger held his breathe whilst Siege slowly shifted his head to gaze at the man. He watched the man's every movement. He almost felt as if he was inspecting him...
He received a notification from The System...

Siege stared at the Inspect Potential.
"Interesting"
"Huh?" came the response from the stranger. It was the first time Siege had heard him talk. Siege saw that the man's hand closed. He had lifted up his fists, with his jaws clenched.
"What do you want?" asked Siege, although he knew the answer.
The man collapsed, his eyes turning a milky white. Siege had witnessed people die before, but he knew the man was alive. He checked his pulse, feeling a slow THUMP!
"Please..." the man whispered. "Do you have some money?" the man whispered, before going silent.
Siege noticed that the man hadn't eaten in days, nor did he have water. Yet, for a few seconds, he felt no pity for the man. He had fallen in a trance, staring blankly at the unconscious man lying on the ground...
As soon as he woke up from his trance, he placed water next to the man and went to the market to buy food. He splashed water on the man's face, jolting him awake...
When the man looked around, the boy was nowhere to be found. He saw the food and water next to him and cried. "Thank you..." he whispered, tears rolling down his eyes...
But whilst this was happening, there was a figure watching them calmly. He hid in the shadows, watching the boy with keen interest. A black vale covered his mouth and nose, only revealing his eyes...

"Inspect" said Siege, making everyone around him look at him strangely.

Siege looked at a woman walking towards him.

Siege didn't know what triggered the unlocking of the Potential, but he was grateful nonetheless. He continued to his destination, which was Rabarn, a town near his own. That's where he used to live, before the death of his parents...
Siege remembered his parents leaving him, telling him they would be back soon. He was left with Victoria, a close friend of his mothers.

"I'll see you soon, sweetheart" said his mother, ruffling his hair.
"We won't be long" said his father, smiling at him.
"Ok, Papa" came the response of the little child...
Hours had passed and no signs of his parents. Back then, Siege didn't worry. His life had always been perfect. He came from a moderately wealthy family, and leaving Siege with Victoria was a weekly occurrence.
The last thing Siege remembered was the Government Official telling him that his parents died in a car crash...

Siege refused to cry. Although he replayed the scene in his head every since it happened, he refused to cry. All the sorrow had built up over the years, until he isolated himself from the world. He moved to another house, leaving Victoria and he lost all his friends...
He got on a taxi and told the driver his destination.
"Rabarn Town" he said, handing over the little money he had...
