"Lady Valerie," Butler Martin's voice sounded worried as he stood by the door with his hands clasped together. "Are you not planning to join us for lunch today?"
"No," Valerie answered shortly.
She had been highly disappointed with her failed attempt at baking macarons. It wasn't anyone's fault, though. It was just another circumstance that led one thing to another.
Valerie was slightly demotivated to wake up and do something for the day. Instead, she just wanted to tuck herself in her bed and sleep the whole day away. That sounded much better for her.
"Y-You imbecile," Butler Martin suddenly spoke, and Valerie wondered if he talked to her. It was almost impossible for him to talk about it that way. "I don't think you can just go inside here like an uncultured—"
"Valerie," Kai grabbed the blanket that covered Valerie, and with a bright grin, he said. "There's a festival in Aria City for today!"
