Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: LET’S GOO POWERLEVELLING

After confirming I had awakened a variant element, I was quite surprised, but also annoyed. I could've awakened it at any time except now... But then I realised.

You might be wondering why I'm acting like this. You see, a variant element starts out as low rank, but can go higher by murdering cultivators or beasts that share your element. I'm not some pussy who won't kill, but I'm way too weak right now to hide it. I have quite a few concealment techniques, but they all require a minimum of Core Forming. I guess I'm going to have to do this in secret..

I let Elder Su know that I'd awakened my first element perfectly, and then I asked him if he would take me to my home.

He said OK, and lazily asked me where I'd lived. I told him, ''Around the Guangxiang Area.''

Although it was a lie, he didn't notice, and just told me he would send a servant with high cultivation that he trusted to drop me off, and that I would be picked up in a day.

I nodded, and packed my bags, then waited at home until I heard a knock. 'Master Jiang, I was asked by Master Su to take you to the Guangxiang area. Follow me.'' I opened the door, looked at who it was and said, ''OK, just a moment.''

I grabbed the bags I filled with the essentials I would need during my stay, and walked out. The servant told me that I would be going on a flying greatsword, an enlarged version of a flying sword used by large amounts of people travelling quickly. I nodded, and followed him. After a short while, we had reached the sword. It was quite large, and looked very similar to a lot of huge swords from media. The greatsword was white, and looked quite plain, but it served its purpose, and that's all I needed. I was assisted on by the servant, and the journey begun.

Mu Qingxuan's POV

I had looked around and couldn't see the Heavenly Wind Technique anywhere, and I'm sure that Jiang guy had something to do with it. He's been one of the only people I hadn't seen in the original, and he's friends with Xie Long. I asked Elder Ji where the location of the Zephyr Peak was, and once he told me, I was on my way there. As I reached his house, I heard someone say, ''Master Jiang, we are going to journey on a flying greatsword.'' Holy shit! I'd finally get to see something actually cool from canon! I managed to sneak a look, and was slightly disappointed at the plainness of it, but also, Holy shit! A genuine flying sword! But Jiang Yi's going somewhere.. and I'm probably going to lose my chance at getting the scripture. I managed to hear the servant mention the Guangxiang Area. Welp, I'll try to get Elder Ji to use his own flying sword to take me there.

Jiang Yi POV

The journey had finally ended, and I got off the sword and told the servant I'd find my own way home, and then meet with him again.

''Ok, Master Jiang.''

He seemed like a nice guy, too bad I probably won't be seeing him for a while.

I excitedly ran, ready to start power levelling. The forest was in the near distance, so it wouldn't take long. While running, I noticed a nearby village, quite similar to mine, actually.

Just as I was about to enter, I was stopped. An elderly-sounding voice spoke, ''I suggest you stop. The forest has very dangerous creatures, the highest has even reached Core Formation!''

''Oh, I know.''

I ran in before he could say anything, and saw many creatures. All mine for the taking. I felt so much joy I just wanted to shout. And I did.

''LET'S FUCKING GOOOOO!''

Don't worry, I was quite far from the center where powerful beasts are. I'm not an idiot.

I was casually walking through, brainstorming unique ways to apply my element when I encountered a wind-type beast that looked to be a wolf.. I guess now time to put the ways I thought of in action. I used some wind behind it to make it think I had a companion, and when it looked away, I imbued my hand with qi and punched it, sending it flying and making it slightly more colder. It wasn't dumb, and realised that there was nobody there, and that I was a fellow wind user. It was a few levels higher, around the 6th level of Qi Condensation(yes, beasts follow the same cultivation stages. They can turn into humans at Reformation, except for dragons, who can already do it from the start.) It summoned a few Wind Blades, and sent them at me. I narrowly dodged 3 of them, but the fourth one grazed my arm, causing it to bleed. I spent no time worrying about it, and propelled myself with wind, ready for a counterattack. A lucky hit on its head sent it far away, and it looked to be slightly dazed. I got up close, and blasted it with all the Qi I could collected into one punch. The first battle was over, and I won.
