(Jiang Yi POV)
I slowly walked up to the wolf, exhausted and vulnerable. I gathered a bit of qi after continuously performing the HWT. I then went up to it, and used my wind on its core, trying to get a reaction. I knew what variants were, but they were so rare that I barely knew much about them, except for how they had variations of their elements and they were capable of 'levelling' it up, so to speak.(NO SYSTEM) all of a sudden, it cracked. I felt a weirdly eerie breeze. And I felt something.. feral inside of me.
yes, cliff is forever(even if there'll be more)
whoever's POV it starts with will normally have two little sections, unless they're unimportant, or so important I need to give them more

(Mu Qingxuan POV)
Elder Ji had said no.. and I have no way to get it. Damnit. Now what do I do? Well, I can just tell him that I'm ready to awaken my physique, and with my newfound power, I'll 'convince' Jiang Yi to tell me everything he knows about it, or if he didn't dispose of it, I'll take it. If not, then I'll steal some other opportunities from certain characters.. Like the Devil-Slaying Saber that'll be appearing in the next few years. Well, I only have to wait a day. It'll probably go by faster if I stop focusing on that annoying person.

(Jiang Yi POV)
All of a sudden, I felt like I was taking a backseat in my own body, and my instincts felt amplified. I also felt a need to hunt, and I started to feel tired all of a sudden. I fell asleep.
After what felt like an eternity, I woke up, and I noticed a few beast corpses around me. That was weird... Based on how they died, what I'd felt, and lots of thinking, I came up with the idea that it could be possible that every time I 'levelled' up, the person(Yes, I consider beasts as people, there's no differences between us starting from Reformation) whom I had used would have control over my body for a while. I'm guessing that's why non-demonic cultivators were so averse to Variants. But for how long though... and now I know I'll definitely be unable to level it near others.
After brainstorming a few ways to avoid it, I realised something and groaned. I'm going to have to cultivate a mental technique, aren't I? You might be wondering why I don't want to. You see, there are only two ways to get them: A) by joining the sect that had a monopoly over them, and from what I'd remembered, that place was infested with young masters... or B) become extremely lucky and, after completing trials set by an owner of a mental-related Cave Abode, claim the technique. But the problem is, during my first life in Xianxialand, there were around 7 discovered, but 3 were traps, 2 were located in areas currently beyond my reach, one was too low-quality and the last was located in a place unknown to even me. After I powerlevel enough to the point I'm satisfied, and make my way back to the sect after giving myself bruises to make it look like I narrowly escaped the forest. Once I get back, I'll also say something in English to that Mu girl, to confirm my suspicions on whether or not she's a transmigrator too, and to see if she knows anything about its location.
Anyways, now it's time to get back to grinding…

Xie Long POV
After the shock of learning from Elder Ji that I was.. special, I felt jovial. I had a special element. Me. And it was not just special, it was one of a kind! I tried summoning it, and I felt slightly dizzy, but a blob of visible blood interchangeable into multiple shapes. I tried turning it into a weapon, and I felt more dizzier, but I felt like I could use it for a bit longer. I played around with it for a little longer, and I ran to show Elder Ji. As I was about to reach it, my surroundings looked blurred. Huh, this is a great place to take a naaaaaap….

Jiang Yi POV again
Yes! I'd killed my third wind beast, and my element had reached Peak Low-Grade! It seems this tier would be quite easy, but I'm dreading the higher tiers. The feeling of having your body 'invaded' by a foreign creature is quite unpleasant, and I don't want to experience it again. I've always been the one in control, and relinquishing that position felt.. horrifying. Well, I'll get my element to Average-Middle Grade, that would be more than sufficient for the playing field I'm currently in. When I reach Core Forming, I'll come back here to grind one last time before I go.
I'd gotten much more efficient in using my element, so it'll be easy to kill these last 4-5 beasts needed.
I ran through the forest, keeping my eyes out for Wind-Type Beasts. It was quite easy, as most of them have marks some place on their body, which showed their element. They were all quite easy to memorise, being something related to it.
After a few minutes of searching, I spotted a sleeping Wind Bat, and used part of my Icy Wind to freeze the branch it was hanging on. I then used a large amount of my Qi to generate enough wind to break the branch, sending the still sleeping bat to the floor. It woke up, albeit groggily, but it was too late. I sent a decent amount of Qi to my leg, and then bringing it down on the poor thing's head with a stomp. Phew, I had saved enough Qi to absorb it now, but I'd have none left after. Its beast core cracked, and I absorbed it. I felt myself becoming tired, and I was about to experience that feeling again..
before I had lost consciousness, I heard a loud, guttural scream coming from my throat. This fucking bitch had to bring me down with it, huh?..
