Chapter 7 - 7. Trying To Find

The figure's words kept haunting Michaella's mind. Hearing it last night made Michaella keep thinking about who she knew and scrutinizing everyone's attitude. In fact, from what she had in mind, Michaella did not find anything strange. Although she wasn't sure, there was one name that made her feel suspicious.

"You couldn't have done it, could you?"

The girl muttered after a long silence with all her thoughts. She rose from her seat. Take a drink on the nightstand and drink it. Her arm was bandaged after she called her family's private doctor last night. The doctor also told her to be careful if she still wanted to stay at her house.

Michaella stared at the unrepairing window in front of her. The wind continued to blow on her face she looked so tired. Pale lips are also proof that she no longer thinks about appearances. No, it's a lot different from what she was a few days ago.

Michaella is not a girl who doesn't care about appearances, on the contrary, she continues to pay attention to her appearance even though it is not so obvious. At least she didn't forget to wash her face and put on lip balm, but not after what happened to her family.

Heavy breathing was heard for the umpteenth time. She remembered very well that her father had spoken to her at that time that something bad had happened to the company and Michaella could barely relate it to what had happened to her entire family. But one question is now, why is she the only one left after all her family is killed? Why was she not killed last night and left alone? Michaella even remembered how much she begged him to kill her too.

Michaella couldn't think well. She went back to change the bandage on her arm and put on her shirt. There was no way she welcomed Araya's arrival wearing only a tank top and hot pants. At least he had to look good even though her mind was messed up. Araya will catch the oddity in her. She didn't want to make her worry about her condition after refusing to come live with her.

The doorbell rang right after Michaella put on her clothes. She looked at her face in the mirror for a moment before walking out. She straightened herself and hid her wound by wearing a long t-shirt that covered her entire upper body.

"It's still very early but I want to see you soon. You're okay, aren't you?"

Michaella heard Araya's voice as soon as she opened the door. A small nod was the answer to Araya's question. Michaella sat down on the sofa, letting Araya go straight to the kitchen, and soon brought a large tray with a lot of food on it.

"Eat. You're so skinny." Araya said while giving a bowl of warm soup to Michaella.

Michaella just kept quiet and watched the bowl of soup in front of her. She has no appetite at all. "I'll eat later."

Araya patted Michaella's arm afterward, making the girl moan because it was the arm that was shot last night. Araya saw Michaella in pain and then saw Michaella's arm. Her eyes widened at the thick bandage wrapped around Michaella's small arm.

"What kind of wound is this, Micha? You …"

Michaela got up from her seat. Avoiding Araya who showed a worried and curious face. She shook her head. "It is nothing."

"Not. You're hurt. Don't make things worse, Micha. You should go to the doctor immediately to get the best treatment."

Michaela was silent. She kept looking at Araya who looked so worried, but that wasn't what he saw. Her memory of what someone said last night made her suspicious of Araya.

Michaella took a deep breath and pulled Araya's arm. Bring her closer to the main door. "Go home. I want to be alone."

Araya rolled her eyes at the way Michaella pushed her away. Indeed with a soft voice but not with that gaze. There is something Michaella is hiding from her, that's how Araya saw the tired eyes of her best friend. Even though Araya tried hard to get Michaella to express her feelings or thoughts, the girl would never do so.

Araya nodded slowly. After that, Michaella immediately opened the door for Araya to go by herself. Araya looked back at Michaella before actually leaving, while Michaella then looked away. She didn't like Araya being so concerned about her because it made her feel even more guilty.

Michaella closed the door and returned to the chair. Looked at the some food on the table without interest then looked at the arm. Blood seeped again through the thick bandage she was using to endure the pain. She took a deep breath. She must immediately take care of herself before it ends in vain. She still remembers well that she will avenge the actions of the person who has made her family go away forever. Yes … She will repay them, but before that, he must also have a healthy and active body.

Michaela immediately went to her room. Take a cell phone and some money. There was only one person who could help her right now, and that was her family's personal doctor who had also been here last night. Even though she felt unsure, only that person could help Michaella take care of her injured self.

Michaella left after that. Leaving her house empty and uninhabited after yesterday was full of people trying to investigate the death of her family members. Michaella didn't want to just sit back and wait for information from one of the parties involved in investigating the death of her family, she was even confirmed by someone's words last night. It was someone he knew, but she also had to be wary of everyone.

Araya saw it. Seeing Michaella darting away from the house on a motorbike. The girl took a deep breath. She knew Michaella was in big trouble, but she also couldn't force her will to continue caring when Michaella felt like she was bothering her. Araya knew it would not be easy to live under these circumstances, not even having a single family member.

"You're a strong girl, Michaella. Whatever your situation, I will continue to accompany you, "Araya muttered and then started to move from hiding.

The girl with blonde hair on her back came out from behind a wall covered in leaves. Her eyes stared far ahead, seeing Michaella's back which looked so small because of the distance. Araya nodded slightly. Trying to ignore the thoughts that bothered her about Michaella's shown nature.

Meanwhile, Michaella was still driving down the street. The pain in her arm made it impossible for her to focus on the speed of the bike. She held it in, but the pain was getting worse. She regretted his actions that instead wanted to hide the wound until it healed by itself. Michaella really can't think straight these days.

The girl bit her lower lip to endure the pain in her arm. She had to endure a little longer to get her wound treated.

Just as Michaella was about to turn, a jet-black car sped up. Her eyes widened with worry filling her brain. She tried to dodge, but the pain in her arm made the strength in her body unbalanced. The motor suddenly received a heavy impact. Her body floated up to fall on the street.

The clear sky above made Michaella smile faintly. With blue and well-formed clouds. The pain was increasing, but it was as if he couldn't feel it at all. Slowly but surely, those eyes began to close. Her lips parted slightly. Tried to say something, but consciousness had snatched away first.
