Michaella looked at every part of the house from the front. Very quiet and there were no more people's voices like that time. Everyone's gone. Only she was left and didn't even know what to do. Michaella smiled sarcastically mocking herself for looking so pathetic.
Araya patted Michaella's shoulder after she finished opening the gate. Invited Michaella to enter the house area with Araya who brought Michaella's bag after several days of receiving treatment at the hospital.
"I've cleaned everything. You can stay home more comfortably and I'll be staying here tonight." Araya said to tell Michaella.
Michaella was silent as she continued walking. Leaving Araya who looks troubled because she is carrying a big bag, but Michaella doesn't seem to want to help. Losing is painful, especially if it is someone who is so loved and cherished. Just like Michaella today. She lost everyone she loved and didn't even have time to say goodbye before. Just imagine how she feels right now.
"Sit down. I'll fetch you a drink and then we can eat."
Michaella complied without saying a word. She sat down. Looking around the room, as if unfamiliar with this place that is so quiet. Michaella stared right in the middle of the room, where the three bodies that night fell there horribly. A lot of blood and pale faces continue to ring in Michaella's memory.
Tears fell unnoticed. Michaella turned her gaze to the upper room. The image still haunts the room falling apart and everything she has no longer shape. The sound of gunfire that night also made her suddenly startled. Michaella couldn't shake all those painful memories from her mind.
Tears kept falling. Michelle didn't make a sound, but pain she in heart couldn't always hide. Her heart was struggling for justice but reality spoke again. Only she was left behind and had to go through all this.
Michaella felt her chest which felt tight. Sobs began to be heard with the shadows of that night continuing to be seen. Michaella couldn't deny that this hurt. It hurts.
Araya had just returned with a glass of water, but her eyes immediately widened when she saw Michaella who was in pain and kept crying on the sofa. Araya immediately approached and grabbed Michaella's body in her arms. Calming Michaella in her arms.
"Micha… I'm here. Everything will be fine, okay? Calm down. Don't think about anything that hurts you. You're a strong girl and ignore all that because you deserve to be happy."
Michaella aware. She blinked her eyes and Araya's embrace was so warm. Michaella wiped her tears and took a deep breath. She calmed herself down with Araya who was still hugging her and gently rubbing her back.
"Everything will be fine. Calm down. I will always be here." Araya spoke again to remind Michaella that everything will pass and Michaella should be fine after that.
Michaella broke free. She took another deep breath and looked at Araya. She nodded slowly. Araya showed a smile, then took the glass that she had put on the table to give to Michaella.
"Drink to calm down."
Michaella nodded again and started drinking her water. She tried to get rid of all the bad thoughts so that something like this wouldn't happen again. Maybe she was still a little traumatized by what happened that night until she only saw her house, the shadow reappeared.
"Thanks, Aray." Michaella gave the empty glass to Araya.
Araya nodded. "Wait here and don't think about anything. I'll get some food and you promise not to be like that again."
Araya gave her little finger for Michaella's promise. Michaella smiled faintly and joined her little finger with Araya's. She reassured with a nod before finally, Araya returned to the kitchen to get some food.
Michaella let out a slow breath. Calm her mind with her eyes closed. An incoming message made Michaella open her eyes again. She took out her phone and saw who had sent her a message.
Undisclosed number:
Come to this place tomorrow night. You'll know who it is.
Michaella frowned. Her memory flashed back to the person who shot her that night. The person also said that Michaella knew the person who killed her family members, and now this number also signaled that she would find the intended person if she came to this place.
Michaella closed her eyes for a moment. Bracing herself and lightning fast he gave a reply to the number, but unfortunately, the number did not allow a reply from her. What does this mean?
"Micha. Eat and we can rest after this. I also want to go out for a while to buy groceries. Don't going anywhere when I'm not there. You understand?"
Michaella put back her cell phone. She smiled and nodded in agreement. "Can't I just come along if you're worried, Aray?"
Araya thought a little. "Okay. It's better to move a lot and you're always around me so I don't worry. We will rest after buying the ingredients."
Michaella smiled again. They then began to eat by occasionally talking. Michaella has gotten better and can be talked to, although sometimes she becomes silent again with her thoughts.
"Didn't you hear when I told you when you were unconscious in hospital?"
Michaella shook her head. "What are you telling me about?"
"I told you that I found a letter in your bedroom drawer. Why didn't you tell me that there's a handsome guy who likes you, hm? Are you embarrassed to say it?"
Michaella remembers a letter she got from a male friend. She nodded in response.
"It's not that I'm shy, it's just that I don't want to be in a relationship when I'm focusing on studying. So what? Do you want that man? I will introduce you to him. He's a nice guy, but then again I don't want to be in a relationship."
Araya nodded in understanding. "You also need a lover if I can't accompany you out. Besides being useful for making our days happy, another function of a lover is as a friend. You don't want to try it?"
Michaella shook her head. "Besides, the letter is very old. I almost forgot if you didn't remind me earlier."
Araya choked. "So, all this time you just kept quiet without telling me? You useless girl."
Michaella chuckled. "Why am I telling you this stupid thing? I don't even want to remember it."
"What's that man's name?"
"Miquel," Michaella told before finally going back to eating her food.
Araya nodded in understanding. She went back to eating her food and watched Michaella who was also hungry for food. Araya smiled inwardly. Michaella was feeling better and she felt a little relieved. The girl was no longer confused when spoken to and did not ignore Araya. Even though Araya knows that Michaella is still traumatized by what happened to her family, as much as possible Araya will try to make Michaella slowly begin to forget all that. Araya also wants to see Michaella happy and not burdened with anything.
You should be happy after this, Micha.
