Chapter 4 - Teach Me How to Use a Gun

The impact of the fall almost caused Alec to blackout. He immediately stood up, but his muscles were protesting wildly. He grimaced in pain and struggled to run.

Unfortunately, the two bulgy men caught up with Alec and roughly shoved him to the ground. Alec wanted to stand up again, but the man pinned him down with his foot, and pointed the gun on his face, while the other armed man was shooting in the direction of the man on jeans, but he drove away immediately.

Alec stared at the bulgy man pointing the gun on his face with a firm face, but his heart was thumping uncontrollably. The game had barely started, and he has already believed he was going to die here.

"Stand down ratón, or I will blast your skull", the man said with a ferocious face. "Godfather wants to speak to you", the man said and turned his gun over that he held the muzzle of the rifle. He then smashed the butt at Alec's forehead, but Alec had already figured out what he wanted to do. He dodged it quickly, causing the gun to hit the sand.

Enraged, the man held his throat and gritted his yellow teeth, his saliva drooling on Alec's face. "Do you want to die early?" The man hollered. Suddenly the man's face froze, and on his forehead, there was a bloody hole. He slumped down and died.

As soon as his partner noticed this, he pointed the gun at Alec and was about to pull the trigger. Just then a bullet traveled through the air and hit the man's throat, causing blood to gush out incessantly.

Soon, the man succumbed to the sickle of death. Alec struggled to stand up, but not only was he extremely fatigued, but the trauma of death also shook him to the core. The man in jeans appeared in his vision and carried him and put him in his back and headed back to the car, before driving away.

The car stopped in an old factory, and the man in jeans climbed out and lifted Alec inside the factory. "What is wrong with you Santiago? You almost died back there", the man in jeans scolded angrily.

There was nothing Alec could say. First thing, who was this guy, and second, who was Santiago?

After dropping him in a place that looked like a small chamber, the man in jeans checked Alec's body for wounds, and seeing no fatal wound, he sighed in relief.

Then he slapped Alec. Alec was dumbfounded and wondered why he slapped him. "Are you mad? Why did you tell me all about this, huh? I've been busy I know, but that does not make you not hermano about it. We are supposed to be brothers, but it looked like you are ghosting me, huh Santiago?" The man in jeans complained angrily.

Alec didn't know what to say. His name was Santiago presumably, but he was not the person this guy thought he was. Looking at his reflection on the chamber walls, he saw another person staring back at him.'

With a solemn face, he looked at his supposed brother, who was staring back at him with cold eyes. "Lo siento mucho por hacerte fantasma hermano", Alec said, meaning "I'm sorry for ghosting you brother".

The man then calmed down and sat on a protruding compartment and sighed. "Tell me everything", he said with a gentle voice. Alec then paraphrased what had happened, according to what the game information gave to him. As a result of his good photographic memory, he was able to say every word with a hundred per cent accuracy.

The man frowned and squinted his eyes. "And how did you know of their location?" He asked in Spanish. Alec stared at him blankly. This is something he could not explain. The game only said that he tipped the police of something, but he did not know what it was.

Seeing that Alec did not respond, the man bowed his head in disappointment. "Don't worry, don't say it. I get that you don't want to reveal your source, but you have to understand that I'm the only person you got, so for me to ensure that you live, I want to get as much information I can get", the man said and stood up. He took out a Desert Eagle gun from his waist and handed it to Alec.

As soon as Alec collected the gun, a pop-up appeared in front of him.

"Obtained Semi-Automatic Desert Eagle Gun, added to possession"

"Friendly note: Mastering the art of the gun would add to your skill. Level 0 is Apprentice to Beginner, Level 2 is Amateur to Expert, Level 3 is Professional to Top Professional, and lastly, Level 4 is Veteran."

Alec looked at the popup and pondered deeply. At first, he wasn't sure as to if this was a game or not, but this popup has already proven it to him. If he was able to learn how to use a gun, it would be added to his skills. At this stage, this would be very helpful for him, as he desperately needed to complete the game without dying.

"It's fully loaded, nine bullets. Don't waste it anyhow", the man said with a dropped eyebrow and approached the exit. "Wait!" Alec suddenly called. The man turned back.

"Please, teach me how to use this gun", Alec said innocently. The man displayed a look of surprise, before smiling. "I thought you wanted to learn shooting by yourself", the man said. Alex smiled wryly. Even though he didn't say it, he had to act as he did, otherwise, he would know something was amiss. "It's hard to learn", Alec simply said. "Alright then, let's go to my crib", the man said assisting Alec to stand up.
