It was day 22, and after undergoing a lot of physical therapy, Alec was able to work again, albeit limping a little. He used the time he was idle to practice his shooting skill. It took a lot of practice, so he was able to shoot a target from 25 meters.
"You have been here for a while now. Take a rest and continue tomorrow", said Diego as he entered the shooting range. Alec, who was calibrating his gun didn't say anything. Diego smiled weakly and approached Alec. Then he handed a beer can to him. "You must be sore, drown on this". Alec raised his head and looked at the beer he was offering, and decided to take it.
For one thing, he disliked alcohol. Apart from its bitter taste in his mouth, a shot would easily make him very drunk. Speaking from experience at school. He has to stay sharp and agile at this critical time.
He collected the drink and thanked him anyway, before brandishing his desert eagle and continuing practicing. Earlier, he has made a plan on how to murder the leader of the mafia.
The first plan was to locate the target and map all of his usual hotspots. Then, he would take out one of his core bodyguards and impersonate him. That part would be hard to accomplish. These guards usually stay together, always watching each other backs. So if he attacks one, the other watching him would report to another, until it reaches the man, which would be bad.
The third plan is to wait for an opportunity. The mafia leader cannot be cooped up inside his mansion all day, and so he would need to go out and unwind himself. That right there was the opportunity he needed. It could be anywhere, the toilet, his garden, even when he would be taking a stroll, he'll kill him without anyone noticing. Easy peasy.
"Santiago, there is a problem in the crib. Some motherf***ers are trying to be smart with me, so I'm gonna teach them a lesson. You should come with me, and get out of this place for once", Diego said after speaking with someone on the phone. Alec stared at Diego with no expression on his face and nodded.

The bus stopped in a hotel, and Diego and his men dropped down and headed to the building. Diego looked at Alec with a hard face. "Stay in the car, it's not safe. If I don't come back in the next fifteen minutes, take the car and run", he said.
"You told me to come out of the house to help you, now I'm staying in the car and doing nothing?" Alec asked angrily. "Brother, you are not staying and do nothing, you are our backup. In case something go wrong inside there, you will assist us, by escaping", Diego concluded and pocketed a shotgun and followed the remaining men inside, leaving Alec alone inside the bus.
Alec used the time being idle to play some music. After searching for a while on the FM radio, he stopped at a channel where a Mexican song was playing. He closed his eyes to savor the music and tapped his finger along with it.
Later, he opened the bus drawer to check what was inside. There were papers, bullets, and silencers all packed in. Alec took interest in the silencer and took one. What job does Diego do anyway?
The silencer fits into his gun like a glove. Alec admired the desert eagle, as the muzzle now appears longer and more lethal.
"Obtained Desert Eagle Silencer, added to possession".
The game info popped up in front of him. Is this also a game item? Alec was confused, so he unscrewed the silencer and added another silencer he took from the drawer, but nothing happened. The game didn't display any info.
Alec was slightly agitated about why the game dropped random items on the game. He screwed his silencer back and pocketed his gun.
While he was resting on his chair, he saw that something was amiss. Alec was casually counting the buildings when he noticed the tip of a gun at the right of the building. Alec stood straight and looked at the building properly. It was definitely a gun's tip. It appeared it was a sniper.
Alec's heart suddenly leaped and he crouched below the bus. As far as he knew, he saw only one sniper, but that might mean there was another. It was very obvious they were here for Diego and his team.
With utmost care, Alec slowly walked to the back of the bus and slowly opened it. He then used a mirror and checked if there was any sniper at the back of the bus, and luckily, there was none. He slid out of the bus and ran into one building nearby.
With a deep breath, he peered at the building the sniper was located, which was seven buildings away from where he was staying. He then went to the back of the building and traveled across the buildings while making sure there were no other snipers nearby.
Then, he stopped. He could see the sniper. The sniper was crouched down and pointed the gun towards the entrance of the hotel and waited. "humph, humph", Alec took two deep breaths and held it firmly. He took off his shoes and approached the sniper slowly without making any sound.
Ten feet.... nine feet... eight feet... Alec counted in his mind as sweat began to form on his forehead. The sniper was still oblivious of Alec's presence, as he was still pinned down with his sniper pointed in one direction.
"Good, our transaction is complete", the mic on Alec's ear suddenly sounded, almost causing him to trip. His brother wanted to assure Alec that everything was fine inside, so he turned on his mic and intentionally said it.
Everything was not fine at all.
Five feet... four feet... three feet... Alec took his gun out from his jacket and stopped. He aimed at the man's head and pulled the trigger. Alec suddenly noticed something was amiss.
He instinctively jumped away from where he was staying and a bullet penetrated the floor where he stood moments ago. Alec turned around and located the person that shot that bullet.
It was a man somewhere in his twenties. He had short yellow hair and a straight eyebrow. He looks like he was from Asia, but he had no idea which country.
The man suddenly stretched his hands and shot at Alec, but Alec dodged the bullet, while simultaneously getting closer to the sniper. The sniper has already known what he planned, so he put away his gun and used his leg, and kick Alec on the face, causing Alec to roll over the ground.
"Nice decoy, a dummy. What are you", Alec asked as he spat out blood from his mouth. The sniper responded with a gunshot, but Alec rolled away, dodging the bullet. It was obvious the sniper did not understand English, so he didn't care about what Alec was asking.
He shot the bullet again and again, but Alec kept rolling. For a second, Alec was in a dilemma. The sniper kept shooting at him, so he had no choice but to roll on the ground, and so he could not stand up.
Suddenly, the man's bullet finished. Alec saw that opportunity to stand up and punched at the man, but the man had other plans. He turned the expended gun into a hand weapon and smashed at Alec. Fortunately, Alec reacted in time and weaved the attack. He took out his sniper and aimed at the sniper.
The sniper widened his eye at the sight of the gun, as he didn't expect Alec to own a gun. That delay cost his life, as Alec pulled the trigger and blasted the man's skull apart.
Alec retreated from the body and examined his wound. Thankfully there were no fatal wounds on his body, which was a relief. Apart from the dizziness and the scratch from the constant rolling, he was fine.
Just then, Diego and his men came out of the hotel. Alec jumped down of the building with the sniper he took and waved at them. Just as Diego looked in his direction, a bullet suddenly whizzed past his cheeks and killed one of his men behind.
