"Big sis! Big sis! Big sis!" Little Karen wakes her sister but she wasn't waking up. Her big sis was such a sleeping log. How on earth would a human sleep for more than seven hours and still be asleep? Was her big sis really a human? Was she a fairy?
"Gina wake up!" She said again but her sister just stirred on the bed and went back to sleep.
'What's wrong? She still isn't waking up?!! I just wanted to tell her daddy called for her though but it seems she is still tired.' She said inwardly as she tried waking her one last time but when she still didn't get any response she gave up and ran downstairs. She was already getting late for school.
'I'll just tell daddy she's tired and still sleeping. I'm getting late for school!' She exclaimed inwardly.
The two people who were sitting tensed on the couch lifted their faces when they saw the little girl running towards them. Ella and Alice had their faces lit up but when Gina wasn't with her, their blood started to boil in anger.
"Daddy! Can you take me to school?" She said as she ran to her father's embrace, totally ignoring the existence of her mother and sister.
"Sure, daddy will always take you to school okay?" He said as he rubbed her head gently.
"No, you're always inside the car whenever I'm being dropped off. You don't take me to my class. I don't want that big guard of yours to escort me." She pouted like the child she was.
"Okay. I won't stay in the car tod -"
"Come darling. You did not come to hug mommy earlier." Alice said, cutting of her husband's words.
Immediately, Karen stood and hugged her mother.
"You want daddy to be safe right?" Alice asked as she caressed the little girl's hair and the girl nodded.
"Fine, if you want daddy to be safe. He has to stay in the car okay? Else his enemies would attack him and he'll just end up getti -"
"Enough Alice. There's no need to say that much. She's still a child." Jack said and Ella rolled her eyes. She was just patiently waiting for the minute her father would ask of Gina, but it seemed that he didn't have any plans of asking. Wait, wasn't that the reason he had asked Karen to call for her? She was getting impatient but she had to keep her cool. This plan must go through today!
"She needs to know." Was what she said and Jack motioned for Karen to come and the girl merrily went.
"Where's Gina?" He asked and Ella's face suddenly lit up. Only her knew she was dancing and rejoicing in her heart.
"She's still asleep." Was Karen's reply and the man just nodded and glanced at his bodyguards who were standing not far away. That glance meant it was time to go.
Ella flared up and went straight up to her dad. What the heck was that?! He didn't really do anything? Just a simple nod? That's it?
"Dad we talked about th -" She couldn't complete her sentence because he held his hands out indicating her to stop.
Alice saw what was going on and stood up to aid her daughter. "Darling, won't you speak with her anymore? This is a matter of our reputation you know?"
"I'll speak with her when I return." He said and Alice creased her brows.
"But you return late at ni -"
"I don't have much work at the company today. I'll return before twilight." He said and they both heaved a silent sigh of relief.
They watch his figure disappear alongside with Karen's and they suddenly started to grin widely.
"She thinks she's smart. I'll show her what I'm capable of doing." Ella said and her mother pat her shoulder.
"Don't worry. Everything would go as planned, we just have to be patient until twilight. Don't just do anything stupid." Alice warned.
"Rest assured mom. I won't do anything stupid. I can't risk my plan." Ella said with an evil grin.
"Fine then. I'll be in my room." Alice said, leaving Ella alone in the living room.
She grabbed her phone and dialed a number with that evil smirk still flashing across her face.
Five seconds later, the call went through and a male voice was heard.
"Yes. Why did you call?" He said.
"I have a job for you." Ella said and the man went silent.
"Hello, are you still there?" She asked and the man replied.
"Y-y-yes, I can hear you clearly." He said.
"Like I said earlier, I have a job for you." She said.
"What do you mean? I don't do those kind of dirty works again. Please find someone else." He said.
"Hahaha, I'm not asking you to kill. I wouldn't do that to my sister. I just want you to do a tiny job for me. It's not that hard, and I promise you'll love it." Ella said and the man went silent again.
"Y-your sister?" He asked and she replied with a simple "mm, my sister."
"I can't say this over the phone. I'll find a good spot for us to meet. We'll talk there." She said and before he could respond, she added again.
"Don't even think of ignoring my call. I know everything about your sister and I might as well..."
"I'll come. There's no need to do anything, please." He pleaded and an evil grin registered on her face, she ended the call and lazily rested on the couch.
"I'm so good at this. This is going to be so much fun." She said and chuckled devilishly.
'Gina oh Gina. Am I a bad sister? No right? I'm just taking everything that's mine.' She said mentally.
....
Two hours later, Gina woke up with a throbbing headache. 'Huh? Headache? But I didn't even drink. What's with the pain?' She said mentally as she stood up to get dressed.
She staggered backwards and ended up falling back on the bed, and that was when she realized her sister wasn't beside her anymore. 'Oh shit! This is happening again! Why can't I wake up as early as usual?!' She inwardly said, creasing her brows.
Something needed to be done about this!
She laid on the bed for about thirty more minutes, since she was weak and couldn't even stand. Good thing she always had a pain relief tablet next to her bed. She picked it up, poured some water from her jar and gulped down the medicine.
"Geez, I hate medicines. They're so yuck!!" She said after dropping the jar and the glass cup.
Few minutes later, she could finally walk but the pain in her head didn't stop one bit.
"What's this?! Didn't I take the right medicine?" She asked herself and went back to her bed to check the name of the tablet and it was indeed, the right one.
"Why on earth do I still feel much pain?"
Pushing that thought to the back of her mind. She made her way to the bathroom to take a cold shower, maybe this would stop the pain somehow, she hoped.
After almost an hour of scrubbing and washing, she finally came out with a towel wrapped her body.
Gladly, her headache seemed to have calmed a bit and she could walk normally.
