"Liking my personality also means liking my status right?"
"No. That's not what I meant. I like you because you're honest and didn't lie to me just because you wanted to impress me."
"Why would you think I'd try to impress you."
"Most girls do that."
"Well, I'm not 'most girls'." She said and he chuckled.
"Okay okay. I would never compare you with any other girl, you're just one of a kind." He said and Gina blushed.
"I really didn't want to do this but I had to do it for a reason so please understand that I'm not doing this to show off my wealth or anything." She said.
"I know. I had been noticing you these past few months and you've been acting low-key, so I understand if what happened today was for a reason." He said.
"Thank you for understanding."
"My pleasure."
The place was silent again and she really wanted to get herself a pizza but she couldn't do that.
"What year?"
"My third year, you?"
"This is my second year, I actually came to this college few months ago because I got a transfer, so this is my second year. If it were normal cases, it would be my first year."
"Nice. It's no wonder, I haven't seen you the past year."
"Yeah, I came here five months ago." She said and he nodded.
"I'd take my leave for now. I need to meet up with someone." She said and he nodded.
"It's alright. I understand."
"Bella!..." She called Bella who was busy flirting with the guy beside her. 'Her courage is something I cannot fathom...'
"Mmm." She lazily replied.
"We're leaving." She said and Bella hastily stood up.
"I'm sorry, I need to leave with my friend."
Gina turned to the boy with an apologetic look. "I'm sorry I disrupted everything. She'll meet with you tomorrow."
"It's alright Gina. I understand." He said and Bella turned to leave but he grabbed her down and gave her a light kiss on the lips.
"What was that for?!"
"That's for leaving early." He said and smiled.
"Pervert..." She said and scoffed, but before she left she whispered the words. "Don't think of any girl other than me okay? I'll be back soon." She whispered for only him to hear.
"Yes boss!" He replied and with that she left.
"Did you guys fix a date to meet?" The boy who was being fed with dog food earlier spoke.
"We didn't fix a date Elliott. She's different." Smith, the guy who was with Bella spoke.
"You know that girl is not someone who is into relationships. She's only flirting with guys, she's not someone serious." Elliott said.
"Shut up or get out!" Was his reply.
"I'm only saving you from the pains of heartbreak."
"That's it, get out!" Smith said.
"Fine, I'll stop talking." Elliott said with a smile.
"Troye, did you fall in love too? You've been grinning like an idiot ever since she left." Elliott said.
"I like her, she just seems like my type. She's actually the first girl I find intriguing." Troye said.
"Every girl is always intriguing in your eyes." Smith said.
"Not every girl. Just her." He said and they just sighed.
"I think I should also find a girl for myself too." Elliott complained.
"Easy bro. She'll come to you."
"Huh? Just because you both were lucky to have two goddesses come to you doesn't mean it would be the same for me!" He said and they chuckled.
"I'm leaving. My dad said he needed to speak with me. I'll go now." Troye said without waiting for their response, leaving the two friends at the table.
"Don't you think there's something off with him when he mentioned his father?" Elliott said.
"Seems he's lying to us again. Let's just let him be this time. Perhaps it's for a reason."
"Yeah you're right."
Two girls made their way towards the table and they flashed both Elliott and Smith a seductive look.
"Hey handsome. You're really looking hot as always." She said, referring to Smith.
"Can we go all out tonight?" Another one asked Elliott and they just stood up ignoring them like they weren't even existing.
"We're sorry but we can't do what you're asking of us." Smith apologized and left.
The few who were taking videos and pictures laughed out loud.
"They thought they could beat our goddess!"
"Serves them right. No one is on par with our goddess and her friend Bella."
"I bet they must be raging by now."
Different statements were being made and it made those girls even boil in anger.
....
Gina and Bella were seen standing in Mr Rogers office.
"You called." Gina said and the man glanced at Bella.
"I called for Gina alone." He said.
"She's a friend."
"I still need her to leave."
"But I -"
"It's alright Gina, I'll stand outside." She said and left.
"Good. I'm sure you pretty well know the ruckus you created at school today?"
"It was not intentional."
"Driving a Benz, that flashy and expensive is enough to create attention. Didn't you think about that?"
"I'm sorry. It won't happen again."
"The only reason you are in your second year is because of your father's position, else you wouldn't be here by now."
"But I also worked hard for this."
"I'm sure you know transfers are not easy, so don't do anything stupid again."
"But I insist I worked hard to get here. I was studying at Harvard university before I got here and due to some issues, I had to leave there to study here. So saying my father got me into this school is wrong." She said.
"Just don't make any scene." He said and Gina just angrily left.
Bella noticed that Gina's mood had drastically changed and she panicked. 'Oh no! Did that old man say something?'
"What's wrong Gina? Did he say something?"
"Yes, he did say something and now I'm so angry!" She complained.
Bella didn't know if she wanted to talk about it but when her anger didn't seem to calm down, she finally asked.
"Is it something you want to talk about? You can tell me you know?"
Gina realized that her anger took control of her and she suddenly felt guilty. Gosh! She really had anger issues!
"I'm sorry I yelled at you. My temper couldn't be controlled." She apologized and Bella just smiled.
"What are we best friends for? You can vent out all of your anger on me. I wouldn't mind." Bella said but it still didn't remove the guilt in her heart.
Bella's dad was a well renowned doctor. What if she gave his daughter a heart attack? How would she explain it to him?!
"It still doesn't feel right. You're not my anger toy I can vent out on." Gina said and seeing that she was still feeling guilty she decided to play along.
"Fine then. I won't forgive you, I'll punish you but before that, can you tell me what he said in there?"
"Fine. I'll tell you."
"I can't believe my hard work is being accredited to my father. I worked hard to get to this school and he's simply telling me my dad was the reason I got admitted here. I mean, I went to Harvard university earlier and I worked hard to get there. Why can't it be the same here?" Gina blurted out.
"Look, it doesn't matter what he or anyone says. What matters is that you worked hard and nobody can change that okay? Now cheer up and smile, people might think I angered their goddess. I don't want to be tagged as a mood spoiler." She said and Gina let out a faint chuckle and hugged her.
"I love you so much. You're the only person I have in this world." She declared.
"Hey! Don't say that. People might think you really love me and Troye might say I'm snatching you away from him." She teased and Gina glared at her.
"Fine, I hate you but...." She paused and whispered in her ear. "I still love you no matter what anyone says." She said.
"Okay okay. I love you too." She said and they left the school's administration building.
"So where are we heading?" Bella asked.
"I don't know. Where do you want to go?
"We have our next lecture three hours from now so let's go to a restaurant. And don't worry, I'll pick the restaurant." She said and Gina gave her the look. 'your choice.'
They both went back to the parking lot where Gina had parked her car and people stares and whispers made them hasten their pace.
"Oh my God! It Gina and Bella! They're beautiful." A guy declared.
"Gina's much more beautiful."
"I've been crushing on Bella since my first year but I didn't have the courage to tell her. I just hope she's single."
"A beautiful lady like her wouldn't be single, so stop dreaming!"
"Just look at her blonde hair. It's so enticing."
"And the eyes are out of this world. I don't know who's much more beautiful. Gina the goddess or brave beauty?" A girl said.
"It's Gina the goddess for me."
"Me too."
"I vote for Gina the goddess."
"Brave beauty!"
"Yeah brave beauty."
"Gina the goddess!"
"Shut up! It's brave beauty."
"Brave beauty for me...."
As everyone were casting their meaningless votes, Gina and Bella had already reached their car.
"Oh no! They're leaving already?"
"They'll come back. Maybe they needed a little break."
"How'd you know?"
"Music is their department and they probably have lectures today. So I'm not sure they're leaving already."
"I hope so."
....
"Gosh! These people are so annoying!" Gina complained.
"They're just admiring their goddess you know? You brought this upon yourself so you should get used to it." Bella said.
"But it wasn't intentional. I didn't even know it would come to this!"
"We don't know some certain things most times, everyday is a new life and it also begins with different or new contents so don't think this is your fault. I also thought that many things were my fault too but I guess I was wrong."
Gina knew the reason why she suddenly talked this way. Her mother had left both her and her father five years ago and Bella put the blame on herself, saying she was always too clingy to her mom and that was why she left. But she didn't know the real truth, it was only recently she found out about it...
"No need to say that. I shouldn't have brought up this topic. I must admit, I enjoyed it somehow so cheer up and don't feel sad." Gina said.
"Okay. I'm sorry, I was a bit taken aback by your words. People think I'm brave but in reality, my heart is fragile as a piece of glass." She said.
"I understand."
"I'll drive." Bella said and Gina hesitated for a bit.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes. I'm alright now so no need to worry much. I won't cause any accident." She joked and Gina nodded. She knew she wasn't lying and was alright so she didn't dwell on it.
"We'll have to switch seats then." Gina said.
"Right."
