Today is the day that I would be married with the unknown Dylan Hawkins. That I only have a little interaction with before. I bit the side of my cheek feeling my nerves rise at the thought.
I was at the dressing room staring at my own reflection. The make up artist already applied makeup on my face. I look unrecognizable in the mirror
I should be happy at my wedding but, all I feel is emptiness. I have to suffer being lonely for the rest of my life
From what I heard of that Dylan Hawkins is a playboy that he have dated millions of girls. I would probably live while seeing him with other woman
I sighed and tried massaging the side of my head to relieve the stress that was building up that might cause a migraine
I took a pain killer pill to lessen the pain in my head. I tried not to smudge my makeup in the process
The door then suddenly opened revealing my Mother who was wearing a dignified stance. I stared at her in the mirror
"I hope you good luck with your marriage" she said with a blank tone. It's like talking to a real life robot
"I hope my marriage won't be like yours but, then I remembered that you also had an arrange marriage to have a stable life" I stated
"And this would also be good for you. To at least have someone with you" she said
"Because you failed so, your passing the job for others, am I right?" I asked and turned my chair directly facing her and stare at her cold eyes
She was silent as the tension slowly grows inside the room
"Your even ashamed to admit your own mistakes" I said while raising my hands in defeat
Then suddenly the door opened revealing Lauren with a bright smile not even reading the atmosphere
"The wedding would start soon please prepare on wearing your gown and please meet me outside" she said then left
"Then I should take my leave" my mother said then walked without giving a glance back behind me. After my mother left there were two female workers who arrived. They assisted me on putting on my wedding gown
I sigh while looking at the mirror
What more could I lose right now
~
As I wait for the door to open. Suddenly my father approached me. He doesn't look happy at all. He had a deep scowl on his face
"What with the look on your face? Did you do it just to spite me?" he asked with a hint of hostility lacing in his tone
"I am simply doing it for the company since, I'm the only one who cares about it. Do you think I'm doing it to spite you, how disappointing? I simply care about the people who works for me" I said with a snarl
He then left while stomping his feet on the floor. The door then opened seeing all the people gazing at me
As I walked down the aisle alone. I felt envious glance from them. As I hide in my wedding veil. I straightened my posture as I glance at person in the end of the altar
He has an unreadable expression in his face. I tried not to frown to not be noticed by the people. As my brown hair flow down my forehead. I arrived at the end. I came face to face with my soon to be husband
He looks more mature than the last time I saw him in high school. He has dark raven black hair. He has long eyelashes that compliments his chocolate brown eyes
The priest started the ceremony. I shifted my gaze to Dylan he doesn't look interested at all. I bit the side of my cheek to calm my nerves
I was in dazed at the whole ceremony I didn't realize that the priest was already asking me the question that fear me the most
"You Alexandra Herman will you accept Dylan Hawkins as your wedded husband?" he asked
Everyone gaze at me with anticipation. My throat felt dry but, I still responded the words
'I do'. We then exchanged rings
"You may kiss the bride"
He then took of my veil revealing my bare face. I saw his eyes was slightly widen then shook his head. He held my waist and pulled me into a kiss it lasted a few seconds but he hasn't even pulled out from the kiss
I immediately opened my eyes from shock then, he immediately took a few steps back. I took a deep breath. Everyone cheered as we both parted from the kiss
I gaze at my hand that has a golden ring wrapped around one of my finger. I shifted to my now husband who has his back in front of me. As he gives the people a blank stare
So, I'm married now?

"His married to that an average girl?" a man asked while he scoffed
Jia had a deep frown hearing the words left his mouth. She immediately rebuked and defended her boss
"Ms. Herman is an amazing person she can manage her own business by herself. Who do you think you are" Jia was undeniably furious
"So what she's just in for my friend's money but, I think you should change the way you call her. She's now Mrs. Hawkins and I'm Jason one of best man" he hissed while sipping hiskey from his cup
"Huh? If she wanted money she could make her own she doesn't need his help"
The two got into a heated conversation and started bickering which is better but, interrupted when Lauren announced the first dance
~
"What are you looking at?" Dylan asked while he placed his hand on my waist and started dancing with the beat. I also followed his steps
"I think my secretary is causing trouble" I shifted my gaze at Jia who was glaring at the man next to her
"That's my friend Jason" he stated, I remembered he was the one beside him the whole ceremony.
"You should have yours eyes on me. You might fall" he said while he took my chin and made me gaze at his eyes
"Don't worry I had dance classes. I wont step on your precious feet" I said filled with sarcasm
I saw him frown he then suddenly twirled me nearly causing me to fall but, he immediately caught me in his grasp
"I don't think so?" he said with a sly smirk plastered on his face
The song ended both of us parted are ways as I stared at his retreating figure. Then suddenly I heard a click on my brain
"I had to spend a night with him"
