[Mandy's Diary At Senior Grade]
We no longer greet each other. In fact, I turn my face every time I meet Justin, pretending not to recognize him. Let him know what it's like to be ignored and considered non-existent! Wait, why would I do that? After all, he won't care about my existence.
For the tartar sauce.
I walked quickly towards the school parking lot towards Candice who was waiting for me in her car. Inadvertently, I turned in a direction, right where Justin was standing with his friends and he was looking at me from where he was. I looked away, refusing to meet his gaze, then walked faster, as fast as I could out of the school grounds. The devil on my shoulder makes me sick of Justin, but the angel just told me to forgive him because I still have many hopes and feelings for him. Liking someone who calls you weird isn't easy. My heart hurts.
The books in my arms fell, bringing me out of my thoughts. I picked up the scattered books below, gathered them together before I pulled them into my arms, and stood up. Before I could catch my breath, a scream rang out behind me, as someone pushed me away from the place, making me roll on the side of the road and get pain in parts of my body.
"You stupid! Have a look while driving!"
I looked up to see Justin standing cursing in one direction as a car sped out of the yard. That's Rebekah's car. Damn, this blonde chick is trying to kill me! I could have reported her to the police and arrested her, but the angel on my shoulder shook her head, telling me to forgive her.
Forgive her? How can I forgive her when her behavior is so impudent and dangerous?!
I clapped my dust-covered hands repeatedly, wincing in pain at the sight of my bruised wrist. Enduring the pain, I bit my lip, grimacing softly. Justin bowed in front of me without saying a word. He helped me collect my books again, handed them to me and I accepted roughly. If he feels guilty, he should apologize for insulting me!
"I'm sorry about that time."
Oh, he's sorry. So, what should I do now? The devil on my shoulder whispered so as not to melt in his hands so quickly. She said I shouldn't be too soft like most of his fangirls. He has insulted me, I will not easily forgive him. Even though his handsome face always teases my faith and tells me to forgive him. Damn it, why does he always do that to me? I couldn't bear to ignore it.
"Hello, Mandy, he ignored you throughout your existence," the devil on my shoulder snorted softly, tapping her wand against my head.
Right. He ignores my existence, why should I care about him? Let this be a lesson for him.
"Oh," I finally retorted with one word. Oh. Only 'Oh' I gave him.
"I know you're angry." Justin's frustrated sigh sounded so regretful. "I just… you know, I'm one of the top students here, and they're gossiping me because I asked you to go…"
"Then next time don't ever ask me out, talk to me, even know me," I panted sarcastically, then immediately got up and patted my jeans. There was a tear in my jeans, revealing the skin on my knee which luckily wasn't injured.
I walked away leaving Justin frozen in place. Why would he ask me out if he's embarrassed? I'd rather never show the bridge of my nose in front of him, let him know me, and end up like this. Admiring him from a distance even though he doesn't know my existence is much more pleasant than him knowing my existence but it hurts my feelings. This is what I fear. And my fear finally came true.
