Alex, who had wanted to return to Nada's house, had to postpone it with the intention of what he was going to do. He took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly. He was late, and now it was clear that Bela had returned home.
That's a sign that Nada's friends are not allowed to visit, for whatever reason. Even though he didn't feel like Nada's friend, he only cared about someone whose life was in danger.
There is no other way but to wait for Bela to come out of the house again, which turns out that every change in new residents takes her life and looks like a used one. He did not know this before because it was always kept secret, only certain people knew about it. And now, it seemed that he had become a part of that 'certain person'.
"So what should I do? Is it better to wait for the right time to return there? What if something untoward happens to Nada?" Muttered Alex who was currently fighting with his thoughts.
Anxious, Alex finally chose to remain adamant and nodded his head in agreement with his thoughts which said that he should go to Nada's house, now, there is no more delaying the time left.
Alex started walking out of his yard, after that he walked towards Nada's house. It would be a huge mistake to think that he would meet Bela and allow him to visit. Alex preferred to enter through the rusty back door.
Suddenly, Alex felt a completely unpleasant atmosphere. He swallowed his saliva with difficulty, after that the thought that had been certain, now turned into doubt. He peeked through the door, the backyard looking very neglected with the grass starting to grow long and unkempt.
In addition, the back wall of Nada's house has begun to fade. Do not forget to grow moss in every corner which adds to the creepy impression, especially at this time the weather is cloudy and it is likely to rain.
However, Alex shook his head and decided not to feel the fear that had honestly enveloped his chest cavity. "No, I'm not afraid."
Once again, Alex ventured. He carried a small bag on his back that contained books to show Nada. He knew that he would be fine since he wasn't 'them' target, but still, all of this almost made his chest cavity tremble.
Alex started climbing the wall of Nada's house to get into the backyard because it was impossible to break the rusty door. Fortunately, the walls are secure and no wires or broken glass are intentionally placed to protect against the dangers of burglars trying to break into the house.
After successfully climbing to the foot of the wall, Alex immediately jumped from that height without fear. He patted his palm which was slightly dirty from nearly falling and held his body with his hands on the ground.
"Now how do I contact Nada? I don't have her cell number."
Alex cursed his stupidity.
"Huft, how long will I be cooped up alone in a room like a bird? It's almost raining, but I can't get out of my room, and for sure until tomorrow I stay here all the time, I might get rained on."
Suddenly Alex heard Nada's mumbling sound, yes he was sure it was the voice of the person he was looking for. Immediately, he looked for the source of the sound, and his footsteps stopped just below the balcony of the room.
It was clear that Nada was sitting huddled in the corner of the balcony. He knew why the girl was there, one of the reasons was because Nada's bedroom was the place she avoided the most. And yes, what's more, the balcony has no mirror reflection, so it's safe.
Alex raised his head. "Psst... Nada." Calling her in a low voice, he also didn't want to be caught off guard by Bela. Although he wasn't afraid of the middle-aged woman at all, he preferred to keep his sense of manners.
The woman in question looked left and right, then finally turned to Alex with a surprised expression on her face. "Alex? Why are you here?" Just as Alex spoke quietly, of course, she did the same.
Alex nodded his head, he was looking for a way to get into Nada's room.
"What are you doing now?" asked Nada, raising an eyebrow, wondering what the man was going to do down there.
"Looking for stairs to get to you," Alex answered simply.
Tracing his gaze, Alex finally found the object in question. The ladder hidden behind a large tree was not far from his reach.
With Nada now feeling panicked, of course, she could guess what Alex would do next. However, she couldn't ask many of the questions her mother might hear if she was chatting with someone.
Nada was pleased with Alex's arrival, but she had no idea what the man was going to do.
As for Alex? He immediately directed the stairs right to the balcony of Nada's room. Fortunately, the wall in front of him had no windows connecting the ground floor of Nada's house.
Once the position is right, Alex immediately went up the stairs.
Alex's footing ended on the balcony floor of Nada's room, he took off the sandals that were his current footwear. "I have come with very important information." He said so seriously, even his brows furrowed almost at the same time.
Nada gulped, then looked back to check the situation, making sure the scary creature was in the mirror. She was very afraid if 'they' realized her existence. Because earlier, she made it to the balcony thanks to her mother who came into the room and told her to monitor her father's return.
So indirectly, Bela saved her life, right?
Alex blinked his eyes because Nada's strange behavior was able to bring out the confusing thoughts that hit him. "Why? Any problem?"
Seeing Alex who was now sitting on the floor directly in front of her, made Nada take a deep breath, trying to get rid of that fear even though it was difficult. "I'm locked up in my room until tomorrow morning, what will happen to me?" She asked as if asking for a solution that maybe Alex could help.
"What? Your stepmother is very cruel, has no conscience." Alex's response. "You're already on the balcony, why don't you run out of the house?" he continued, asking.
"And my sentence will be doubled? Of course, I don't want that to happen."
"Yeah, you're going to sleep in fear, aren't you? You're aware that they also follow you when you sleep. But it's very lucky if their whole body can't get out of the mirror, only half of their body."
Hearing Alex's very detailed words, made Nada just realize the topic of the conversation they were talking about. "Wait a minute, how did you know about 'them'? Do you know who I mean? And what you said… it's all true."
Alex nodded his head, then looked into Nada's eyes as if they locked her very tightly. "Indeed this is all I want to tell you, I have a lot of important information that looks like it could save your life."
Nada who heard Alex's words began to blink a few times. She wanted to speak to answer the words of the man in front of her, but suddenly...
Knock
Knock
Knock
"Nada, have you seen your father come home?!"
Alex who heard it started to panic and confused, looking at Nanda who was just as confused as he was. "Where should I hide?"
"I don't know, where are you hiding, I don't have an answer either," replied Nada who had now moved from her seat, followed by Alex.
Hearing the sound of the door opening, Alex immediately looked for a hiding place that could cover his body.
As for Nada? She stared straight at the now open door revealing her mother's body. "Not yet, ma'am. It's still four in the afternoon, I think," she answered nervously while hiding a tuft of hair behind her ear.
Bela who saw something strange with Nada's movements immediately put some snacks in her hands and 1 liter of mineral water on the table, after that she walked to the balcony of the house with raised eyebrows.
An anxious tone spoke in her heart so as not to be caught, a few small beads of sweat were also starting to show on her forehead. She sees Bela who is getting closer, she prays to God for help.
"Why you? You seem to be hiding something, right? You didn't secretly invite guests to this house, did you?" Bela asked with her eyes fixed sharply.
Nada shook her head. And in the end, Bela arrived in front of her, turning her head right and left as if she was looking for something.
"There's no one here. But why do you look so scared?"
Bela's words made Nusa gasp.
"Sigh, just watch out if you invite all sorts of unknown guests to this house. I do not hesitate to complain to your father, "
After saying that, it seemed that Bela turned around and left the room with the door locked from the outside.
Nada felt confused, she turned around and looked left and right as if looking for Alex. "Alex? Where are you?"
"Psstttt, don't ask too many questions. Come on, help me, I can't hold my hand any longer."
Searched for Alex's whereabouts, and found him. Seen two hands are now holding on to the balcony rebuttal, the man hangs there. And yes, Nada helped him right away.
"Huft finally survived your scary stepmother's tantrum."
Nada looked at Alex breathlessly. "Yes sorry, you can drink first, there is a drink on my bedroom table. But I can't get it for you,"
"Yeah, I'll take it and have a drink first. We'll talk about it later," Alex replied.
