Chapter 56 - Chapter 56. Travelling far and wide

Tirus extracted a few drops of blood for the A.I. chip to scan. He really wanted to know the biological difference between the dark elves of Eastern continent.

After a few hours, Tirus let them sleep on the bed. He had paid a hefty sum of magic crystals for both of them, of course he would be a little careful.

He was sitting on his chair while holding the now unlocked mystery box, contrary to what he expected, there was no golden glow coming from inside, nor was it a high-grade treasure or elixir.

It was but a parchment which had turned yellow with time.

'A.I. chip, scan it.' He commanded the A.I. chip with a serious expression on his face. How could it be an ordinary parchment? Even an idiot would be able to tell that it's not just by the strange aura that it was emitting.

[Beep! Scan completed, there is a spiritual formation on the parchment… Host is advised to refine it to activate the formation]

'… What if it's a trap? What if it explodes?' He injected spiritual force into his dark prophetic heart and soon, his expression turned into one of relief.

'It's safe, I see. This prophetic technique sure is handy. Otherwise, I'd have to wait for the A.I. chip to deduce the formation on its own to see if it's safe.'

[Beep! Warning, the parchment requires the blood of someone who is a native of the eastern continent]

'Oh, is that so.' He thought. The dark prophetic heart could help him deduce if something was an opportunity or something harmful, but it couldn't give him a detailed explanation like the A.I. chip.

He bit E1's finger and, dripping her blood on the parchment.

Soon, the parchment started emitting a golden glow,, and it kept intensifying until its light filled the whole room.

[Beep! A large amount of information is being sent to host's mind. Accept/Reject?]

'Accept.' He immediately felt a sharp pain in his head, as if his brain would explode from the pain. It was like when he first used the A.I. chip to collect the data regarding his family's meditation technique.

After a few minutes, the information was successfully transferred to his brain and formed a red mark on the back of his right hand.

"Another inheritance?"

This mark was a key needed to open up the secret realm, it could only be used once and subsequently, it'd vanish completely.

'A pity it's in the eastern continent, guess I'll have to return soon.' He thought as he made up his mind to explore the ruins mentioned in the parchment.

….

Several days passed by in a blink of an eye,, and they returned to the headquarters of Jupiter's Lightning in the central continent.

After claiming his contributions points, a total of 80,000, he returned to his room and sent the message to his guild immediately.

'I'll be going back to the Eastern continent as I have gotten a clue to an inheritance, don't worry about me if I stop contacting for a while.'

A day later, he informed the head of his department, a rank 4 magi, that he'll be going to eastern continent for a while. If it were a magus whose rank was lower than rank 3, then they'd even been punished by now.

But Tirus was a peak rank 3 magi, so it made sense as to why he could directly go to the department head.

When joining this organization, he had signed a contract, it was mentioned that if he ever needed to go anywhere, then all he had to do was inform them.

After few days later,

It was at dawn when Tirus came out of his room after finishing the slave mark's branding. Both E1 and E2 were now branded by his slave mark, so even they were to break through to rank 2, they still wouldn't be able to regain control over themselves.

'Just a few more days before I reach the eastern continent.' He thought. He had intended to use the flying ship to enter the eastern continent, after that, he'd travel by himself to hide his location.

Three rays of black light were approaching a forest at a rapid speed, barely visible to the naked eye.

They were, of course, Tirus and his slaves rushing towards the ruins as fast as they could. They had been going on for about 6 hours now.

'It should be near.' The thought crossed his mind as he saw the landmarks mentioned in the information he obtained from parchment.

"There." His eyes soon locked on to a small mountain, lush with dense greenery.

In a blink of an eye, he arrived there and started looking for a cave.

"Master, we found the cave." E1, pointed her finger at a cave, heavily covered by vines.

"Hm, good."

Without saying anything anymore, they entered the cave and Tirus could see a ray of red light giving him the direction towards the place where secret realm was hidden. He started following the ray of light, the elven pair followed suit.

The elven couldn't see anything like a ray of light since they didn't have the inheritance mark with them, unlike Tirus.

This cave was like a maze, and if Tirus didn't have the help of the red light, then he was sure that they'd get trapped here for quite a while, if not forever.

'This is it.' He thought as he touched the wall in front of him, it looked completely ordinary, but the mark of his hand glowed with intense brightness whenever he touched it.

A flood of information ran through Tirus's mind from the mark, and he started chanting, "I am the fated one who has opened up the box of fortune and obtained the brand, Open."

The mark glowed with increasing intensity as he continued chanting the incantation. After a few breaths of time, the wall started rumbling and the trio was enveloped in a white light.

To be continued…
