The sweet ocean breeze hit Kira as she stood on the deck. Her hands were in her skirt and she inhaled the sweet breeze.
"Kira, aren't you eating?" She heard her mother's voice from the Captain's cabin.
"Coming mother." Kira rushed to the cabin to take her food.
"I made your favorite, crabs." Her mother, Evie smiled. Pirate acent was very clear in her English.
"Thanks mother." Kira smiled and Evie walked out of the cabin leaving her daughter to eat while she control the pirates.
Kira walked to her mother's shelf and picked a book before returning to her seat to eat.
Kira, the only daughter of a very rich pirate. Kira has been on the sea ever since she was five years old. It was a surprise she didn't speak like the pirates.
Her mother, Evie has been a pirate right from early age till now. She inherited her father's properties after he died and started hunting for treasures like he does, which she passed on to her daughter.
Kira walked out of the cabin and met everyone drinking. They had dropped the anchor and some had gone fishing. Not like you would really see fishes at near the middle of the ocean but it's worth a shot.
The chattering was very loud and defending but Kira was used to it already. She walked up the ratline and looked at the setting sun. She looked around before jumping into the ocean. Although her mother warned her not to but she wanted to.
Well, she's not just an ordinary kid because she could breathe underwater. She swam down the ocean which seemed like years to her. She settled at the sea bed and looked around.
Not far from where she was stood a shipwreck. It was a pirate ship. She swam to the ship and cautiously swam inside. The inside was filled with seaweeds already. If it wasn't she was an excellent swimmer, it would have been a problem for her to go through them. She got to the middle of the ship and saw a chest also covered with seaweed. She moved closer and opened it. She gasped as soon as she saw gold. Real and the rarest pirate gold ever.
The chest was heavy but she tried her best to lift it. By the time she got to the surface, she was exhausted and Evie was looking for her already.
"I told you not to...."
"I found the gold. The real gold." She panted and they all gathered round the chest and her mother picked the gold and examined it.
"It's the real gold." She gasped and they all cheered.
"Junior captain will be getting half of it since she was the one who found it and we all will share the rest." Someone said and they all cheered.
"I didn't know we were right above the treasure." Evie chuckled. "Home is calling. Dead men tell no tales."
They all cheered as Kira walked into the cabin. Her mother walked in later.
"I'm sorry I disobeyed you mother." She bow her head.
"Yes, you disobeyed me but if you didn't disobey, we wouldn't have found the treasure." Evie smiled . "When we get back home, I promise I'll give you anything you want."
"Thanks mother." Kira smiled and hugged her. "So when are we leaving for home?"
"By dawn." Evie replied.
"I've missed home, but not as much as I'll miss out here." She sighed.
"It's okay, you can come back anytime you want." Evie replied as she made Kira's bed.
"Yeah." Kira replied.
"Come to bed my little captain." She smiled and Kira walked to bed. "Good night." She pecked her cheeks before leaving for the deck.
Kira closed my eyes to sleep with her mind blank.
"Kirana." A young voice called giggling.
"Hey playmate." She heard her own little voice.
"Call me my name."
Kira woke up and noticed it was dawn already. She walked out of the cabin and the morning breeze lift her hair and she gave a low sigh.
"Good morning my captain." Evie called from the crow's nest.
"Yo ho ho." One of the pirates called her before throwing her her neat clothes.
"Thank ye." She smiled.
"No problem."
Kira couldn't speak the pirates language but she could reply to each and every and she understands them.
"Get them for me in the cabin." She heard her mother say to someone.
"Aye aye, captain." The man said and walked away.
"Home, here I come." Kira sighed.
