Chereads / Pirate Queen / Chapter 2 - Chapter One

Chapter 2 - Chapter One

They set course for Vitalia kingdom. The kingdom was one of the ancient and most beautiful kingdom in the world.

"Fencing class little pirate." Evie called throwing Kira a sword.

"Yes captain." Kira smirked as she started training. Although she didn't quite focus on her training.

It's been thirteen years since she left home and she was certain things would have changed a lot. She couldn't remember anything that happened before their departure which hurts her a lot because she has the feeling it was very important.

"Looks like little missy isn't concentrating." Her mother landed before her and drew her sword. "Come on."

Kira could only scold herself inward because training like her mother was like a war bringing hell to earth.

"Pretty impressive, I see you've gotten much better than last week." He mother smiled sheathing her sword. Kira was panting already by the time they finished training. "Breakfast in five."

"Yes mum." She mumbled.

"Ahoy Matey." One of the females of her age climbed down to her.

"Hey Uma." Kira replied sitting on the barrel nearby.

"You haven't been coming out at night lately, all fine?" Uma raised her brows grabbing a rope.

"I'm fine. Feels good to return home ehn?" Kira looked up.

"Meh, not that good. At least there will be guys to flirt with." She smirked.

"What a flirt. If there's a word like a manizer like womanizer it would suit you." Kira rolled her eyes jokingly making Uma chuckle.

"See you later matey." Uma pulled the rope and she was pulled up by the rope.

"Kira." Her mother called and she rushed to get breakfast. She sat down quietly eating her plate of fried fishes and rice.

It's been long since she had food free from sea creatures. They've been living on the sea anyways. They could only get food whenever they stop by an island.

Uma and Kira stood in the crow's nest and Uma was with a spyglass and she was looking around.

"We won't be home by tomorrow I can tell." Uma sighed.

"I think you should know that. We are around the middle of the sea." Kira rolled her eyes.

"Fine, fine but...sigh." Uma sighed.

"Kira. Come down now." Evie called.

Two days later, they were nearing the kingdom.

"See, the castle." Uma squealed as she swung down to the deck to call Kira. "Kira, we're home."

"Sheesh I know, I can see." Kira rolled her eyes at her friend's childishness.

"Because you can't remember when we were kids that's why you aren't excited. These years, we've been on the sea not having fun past the deck. I remembered then you used to sneak away to play with someone no one knows who but you used to play with that kid." Uma put her arm around Kira's shoulder. "You never told anyone who it was."

Kira looked up at Uma and looked away. She couldn't remember who it was. The most shocking part was she grew up to forget whatever happened in her past since she got away from home.

"We're home pirates. Party at our place by seven sharp." Evie said and they all roared as soon as the anchor was dropped.

Kira took a deep breath as she stepped out of the ship. She looked up at the large castle which was located on the highest Hill in Vitalia and the village followed from there down to the shore.

"This is the most beautiful and only market in Vitalia." Uma said nudging Kira.

Kira looked at the fishermen bringing baskets filled with fishes out if their canoes. Some women were recieving the baskets of fishes. People were busy buying and selling in the market. Different stalls were filled with different things.

Suddenly everyone's attention were on them. "It's a tradition, get used to it." Almost before Uma could finish people came rushing to them.

"They are back."

"Wow, it's been years."

"Mum, is everyone always like this?" Kira asked Evie.

"What do you mean sweetheart? They are just glad we returned to the kingdom safe and sound." Evie pat Kira's hair sweetly.

"I'll come take you out later. I've missed home." Uma squealed as she walked away with some group of girls.

"Mum, can we go home now?" Kira wanted to throw up at the sight of this much crowd.

"Sure baby." Evie said.

Evie and Kira stood before a big house located around the south eastern part of the kingdom. The house was on a cliff and it was built with stone.

"This is our home. You might have forgotten because of the reason I don't know but aunt Eva should be home." Evie said as they walked to the porch and knocked the door.

After some time that seems to be forever, the door opened and a woman who was just around Evie's age opened the door.

"Oh my goodness." She squealed as she saw both of them making Kira raise her brows questioningly. "Oh, my Evie. It's been thirteen years." She squeezed Evie in her tight hug.

"Alright sis. Kira, this is Eva, my sister. In case you forgot too." Evie said.

"Oh yeah I did forget but nice to see you aunt Eva." Kira smiled a bit uncomfortable.

"Oh, my little pirate." Eva squeezed Kira in a tight hug too.

"Alright." Kira sighed.

"Come on in." Eva lead them into the house.

The house was beautifully decorated and Kira gasped as she looked up at the golden chandelier which lit the living room. Other candles were around but they were off.

"Welcome back home. I was making mushroom soup when you showed up. I'm so glad you're here." Eva sighed. "Come on. Evie, your room is still the same. Come here little pirate."

Kira followed her up the stairs to a room at the North Eastern part of the house. It was beautifully decorated with blue pearls and her pictures like it was made mainly for her.

The bed was covered with blue sheets and the floor was made with white marble. She opened the door to the terrace which exposed the beautiful ocean.

"Some dress are in the wardrobe. Come down when you finish dressing in yeah, take a bath. That's the bathroom." Eva pointed at the other door in the room and Kira smiled before Eva walked out of the room.

Kira went to have a bath in the hot tub filled with warm water.

As Kira opened the wardrobe to take a dress she saw a painting of a boy. He was smiling cutely and his brown hair covered a side of his face.

"Kira. Food is ready." She heard her mother's voice and she returned the painting into the wardrobe before getting dressed.
