"I still have thousands of questions and I am really getting tired of your childish behavior. I lost my friends, got tortured and now you guys are telling me that I became a vampire! I want…"
"Shushhh!"
She shut me up with her hand.
"Do you know why I brought you here?"
I looked around. I as a habit, already scanned the area but I couldn't see anything. She looked at me and smiled.
"You wanted revenge, right? Go and start having it."
"Urgh!"
My eye hurt. With pain came a greater view. This is…
"Eagle's View?"
I saw everything from above. I could also see through walls and other kind of blocks. No, seeing was wrong.. I detected their heat signals? I focused my view on Elizabeth and gasped. I could see though her clothes. I quickly closed my eye and turned around. But even that didn't stopped my sight.
"Whad do see? What do you see?"
She jumped like a puppy and baby talked. When I took the information around me I focused even further. I could see her veins, organs, bones…
"Wow."
If I could see how their muscles and skeleton moved, couldn't I predict all of others movements? I f I could learn to read, I could be a master martial artist. The reason I said "if" was because the information I took in just a second was too much for me to process. Currently, I had an intense headache.
"Normally, us vampires can see veins in other beings. Some of us evolve it to see and grasp mana. But you seem a little special."
Closing my eye to limit how much information I have to take, I asked to her.
"Is it because of my Hawkeye?"
She just shrugged.
"Who knows? Humans turning to vampires are not common. So we don't have a lot of information. Also take and drink this."
She tossed me a blood bag. Same one as Edward gave me at beginning of my beating, I mean training session.
"No. I am not going to drink blood."
She again shrugged.
"Well, keep it. You probably going to change your decision in a minute."
My only eye widened. I quickly got front of her and pulled my bow. Pulling strings back full I released my arrow.
"Growl!"
Something jumped to roof we were in.
"Elizabeth, this is…"
She wasn't there. I couldn't detect her movement? Even with my special Hawkeye? I swore and looked wat was front of me. Seeing its shape through dust, I bared my teeth to it without even realizing it. Around 2 meters, its rough shape was similar to a human.
"Werewolf!"
"Roar!"
Realizing we were our enemies, we both roared to each other. I pulled three arrows and fired them at same time. To my suprise it couldn't dodge it. Arrows stuck in its torso. Despite my sharp aim, it didn't seemed bothered.
"It is different."
It wasn't same type as I met in dungeon. This one was lanky. Its head resembled more similar to a rat. Fur covering its skins was black and thin. I could see the skin through its fur. I couldn't see any intelligence behind its eyes.
"Can you talk?"
It opened its maws and roared to me before rushing.
"Fast!"
It wasn't fast as other one. But still it was faster than fastest boss monster I fought. I fired several other arrows while backing away.
"It has no fear of getting hit!"
It ate the arrows like a snack.
"Well, then!"
Focus. Taking deeper breaths, I increased my vision. Seeing this much things, in this angle was still new to me.
"Second job of a Sharpshooter: Hit the weak points."
Eye, groin, throat, armpits. Weaker parts with great importance. Despite it being faster than me, I could escape it by out angling it. Parkour was still something I knew, while I didn't practiced as much as my other skills, I could create distance. I jumped out of the roof we were in. I broke my fall by rolling. Normal humans would at least break several bones if they tried it but only thing I got was some stratchs. I was at least 3 times stronger, tougher and faster than a peak human. That's how stats were like. 5 in any stat meant what a peak human without Gifts could achieve by rigorously training for their entire life. Meanwhile, weakest stat a Gifted would have was 5. So the moment I awakened my Gifts I was stronger than adults around me. Of course that made it harder to train yourself to higher levels. A loud crash snapped me out of my thoughts.
"You can't be serious…"
While I still broke my fall with rolling, it just threw itself to ground. And he even seemed unharmed.
"Tough son of a bitch."
Arrows I fired consecutively drew arcs in the air before hitting to its throat, right armpit and left eye respectively.
"It isn't deep enough!"
Since I could see though its skin, I could see that while they pierced its skin, they didn't went deep enough to hurt him fatally.
"Still, say goodbye to that eye, bitch."
An eye for an eye. It still charged towards me in its wounded state. I pulled my bow back to fire but…
"Shit!"
I dodged claws coming from my back. I only detected it through its killing intent.
"Two of them!"
Other one looked frail and skinny.
"He has a clocking ability!"
It could even block my C++ skill? It must have a B ranked skill! I felt cold sweat cover my back.
"B ranked monster!"
Are you kidding me? I only awakened my C ranked skills just now! I can't fight agains….
"Shut up rookie! We are not going to die! We are just going to stall time!"
"This is not the first time we faced something strong. We know how to deal with it."
…
….
Even both of them combined was weaker than what killed them. If I bitched against them, I could never avenge them. I felt blood in my veins slow down. My heart rate also got slower. I pulled my bow.
"I am going to kill both of you."
They were stronger than boss monsters I killed with my team. But…
"I will survive. I will avenge. I won't let their sacrifice be in vain!"
My voice was cold as ice.
