The next day, Nora barged into kein's room, opening the door with force
" hey Kein, am reading, you can come and join me, that's if you like," she said and left the same way she came in " Nora asking me to join her and read, what happened," Kein thought for a moment before standing up to join her
" This is biology and I will be reading about cells today, so as you know, the cell is the basic unit of life ....."
" what's biology and what's a cell," Kein asked interrupting Nora who was trying her best to explain the topic to him
" in case you don't know, I am in the science department, so if your dumb brains can't handle it, you better tell my mom, so she can know what to do," Nora said with a little anger while searching for another subject to read cause Kein has destroyed her desire to read that morning
" do your school teaches how someone can be able to control and add more strength to his ability or how to cross a portal gate ?" Kein asked out of nowhere making Nora narrow her eyes at him
" Are you nut ? " she finally asked pointing a finger at her brains, after looking at Kein for a long time
" Okay, what of how someone can be able to survive on different planets, use different weapons or the history of the world....."
" I can see you have gone completely crazy," she said while gathering her books together for her to leave for her room " mom ! come and take this crazy thing out of here, am done!" she left for her room with a heart filled with rage. Hearing her daughter's shout, Laura stormed out of her room already dressed in a matched outfit " were is Nora " she asked immediately she came to the sitting room, she looked around the room and saw no sign of her daughter
" Are you guys done ?"
" yes, I think so" Kein answered, nodding his head in confirmation
" okay, I hope there's no problem ?" she asked with raised brows while bringing out her hands like a " what is it" sign and he shakes his head
" okay then, I will be taking you to barbershop as I told you last night, the barber will dye your hair black and add more style to your hair so you wouldn't be easily recognized," she said to let Kein know of her intention. after, Kein went inside and dressed up before they zoomed off.
After Kein has been given well-dyed hair cut, that made him look more handsome than before and brought out most of his striking features, Laura received a phone call which she picked and the caller informed her that people in the street were frightened due to the different colors of light that zoomed passed them on the road, putting them all in confusion. the news made Laura take Kein back home and left for work to handle some issues.
when Laura got back from work it was midnight, though to them trying to figure out why this havoc is happening on earth, does it mean that the end of time that was being mentioned in the bible had come to pass?
Donald has already gotten back from work before his wife and he was shocked to see kein's new hair cut " Kein, you don't want to tell us what you are hiding" he said in his mind after looking at kein's hair
" you know very well that dyeing only his hair won't prevent him from being recognized " Donald pointed out immediately after he heard his wife's footsteps " you could have done a plastic surgery also " he sarcastically said
" at least, this will do for now " Laura retorted while heading upstairs to freshen up, it has been a hectic day.
That night, Kein had a dream that made him realize that his life is going to change at any second.
