When Nora came to kein's room that morning, she shrugged when she saw Kein still sleeping on his bed
" Hey, wake up sleeping beauty," the latter said while slapping his both cheeks but the male refused to wake, with annoyance the latter went over to the drawer and brought out a bottle of water which she used to sprinkle over kein's face making the male to sprang off the bed immediately
" what the heck Nora " Kein yelled immediately after he woke up from his dream but Nora ignored him, instead walking diligently to his face
" sleeping beauty, since you woke up without a kiss, why don't you go and freshen up before you go late for school," she said to his face before cat _walking to the door " not that I cared, but for my mom's sake " she slammed the door and went off. Kein sat back on his bed and wondered if what he had was a dream or something else but he couldn't apprehend whether it was a dream or real. He went over to the mirror to confirm his thought but he was shocked to see his hair ruffled " indeed it wasn't a dream" he confirmed.
when he came out of his room already dressed, breakfast was almost over
" Hey, where have you been," Laura said with concern while gesturing him to a seat at the dining table, where his food was kept " were you sick ?" she asked
" no " he replied shortly
" I tried waking him but he is such a sleepyhead" Nora pointed out with scorn" mom, I can go with my car, later you can bring him yourself because I can't afford to go late on the first day of resumption after the summer break," Nora said and stood up to leave but her mom gave her a disapproving look that made her collapsed back on her seat with a tight face and folded arms
" no Nora, you can't go without him, he is new and he needs your help to make him adjust " Laura explained while gathering the plates together for her to drop them in the sink
" but is her choice to go or wait," Donald said with a facial expression
" she doesn't have any choice here Donald but waits, don't you have a morning training with your players this morning why don't you go before you keep them waiting "
" my darling wife, I know you are trying to make me leave the house but I will soon return " Donald emphasized and left the dining room. immediately after he left, Laura brought out a package from her handbag which she handed to kein. when he opened it, Nora was flummoxed.
" How could you mom" Nora snarled with a crinkled face but Laura was completely at sea because she doesn't understand the reason for her daughter's sudden outburst so all she could do was to corrugate in a confused frown
" That's the latest brand of Samsung, am I right? " Nora questioned but Laura squirted her eyes
" and so?"
" Mom, am still using iPhone 11 while you got him a Samsung, the latest brand at that " she kvetched with a growl
" what the difference? " Laura muttered, she wasn't fazed by Nora's complaint because her daughter has always been characterized by her greedy nature
" what is this? " Kein asked after looking at the object but didn't know what it was meant for, leaving Nora dumbfounded
" It's a cell phone in case you need anything you can call me with it, don't worry Nora will teach you how to operate it " but Nora was imprecise over the awkward situation
" Are you in the nineties ?" Nora asked with a woolly expression " like who on earth doesn't know how to operate a phone, even a newborn baby"
well that's a huge exaggeration
" I think is high time you two go to school " Laura highlighted after she must have finished clearing the dining table" let me go get my car keys " immediately after she left, Nora hissed and went to the garage to wait for her mother because everything is utterly odd for her.
when her mother came out of the house with Kein, Nora rushed to collect the keys from her which she used to open the doors of the cars, and quickly sat on the front sit beside her mom leaving the awkward Kein at the back, as she calls him
when they arrived at the school, Laura gave them some money in case the need anything and left with her car. Anyone that passed by them on the way will turn twice to look at Kein, this continued for a long time until they entered the school building. immediately they entered everyone was completely dumbstruck at the handsome sight of Kein, some gasped while some were holding their breaths, others muttering and whispering to each other hysterically making Nora roll her eyes and quickened her pace. Kein was not the least bit bothered by the stares but Nora was killing herself inside
" How can a guy be this beautiful" one of the stunned female students commented
" He is more beautiful than most girls" another commented
" is it one of Nora's boyfriends " another mentioned " you know she changes men as clothes"
" why don't you guys mind your fucking business" Nora sneered under their breath
" Nora wait for me !, where are you running to, " Kein said while jogging towards her
" I can't wait for the pretty boy, you know," Nora remarked contemptuously, then the bell rang drawing everyone's attention to the stairs and the gathered together
" Welcome back Beverly hills, I hoped you guys enjoyed your holiday. as you all know, this is a new season and I want y'all to be mentally and physically prepared for it, " the principal spoke and the students nodded their heads " if I was to continue, I could like all the athletes to be prepared for the upcoming matches that will be coming from different schools in California and as for the New students, thank you for coming to our great institution, you all will be shown to your various classes. thank you once small for choosing Beverly hills high school, thank you " the principal foregrounded and the students applauded him for his speech
" who's that?" Kein asked in low tune, wondering why those students were cheering for the man
" That's the principal " Nora whispered back
" oh" Kein exclaimed because he hasn't heard of the word principal before, in his planet they only make use of a teacher or head tutor
" Our first class today is chemistry, so follow let me show you the class," she said and went ahead while Kein followed behind
" so is this the school your daddy works as the football coach? " he asked on their way to their lockers
" no, not this one" she answered and gestured to him a locker towards the end of the corridor " that's yours, you can put all your properties in there, that is, if you want"
The second bell rang ' riiiiiiiiing' signifying the beginning of the first lesson for the day.
