Everywhere was completely dark at first , then suddenly everywhere turned white, completely white that nothing else was seen. then a voice was heard
" congratulations Kein, the kings egg has finally settled in your body, you are now made an official king , even though you are not meant to " the voice said, making Kein to start looking around for the direction the voice was coming from . a figure with long ropes and a faded golden long hair appeared from the white void , confusing Kein for sometime
" your highness, is that you ? " he asked in dazed , he heard his father said the king was killed , but how come he is still alive? .
" yes my son, is me " the king answered with a smile , giving him a tight hug but Kein wasn't comfortable with the hug so he didn't hug back . He had a mixed feelings over the situation , fear , confusion, anxiety and excitement mixed together
" but how come you are alive ? , is everyone alive ? , is this ectopia ? , were are my parents? " he kept asking immediately they separated from the hug
" Kein calm down, I know you have a lot of questions to ask but I will try my best to see if I can be able to answer the ones I can. first of all, this isn't ectopia and nobody else is alive ...."
" then how come you alive " Kein interrupted him impatiently ,cause he is tired from all his parables " why should you allow everyone to die like that, when they put all their hopes and trusts in you. aren't you the most powerful person with the most powerful weapon as we are told, how come you were still defeated ? " Kein asked with tears and rage,. his body shaking slightly
" I know that' s what people will be thinking but you guys don't understand but I will explain to you how it all happened " the king sighed before he began " it wasn't only the villagers that were attacked by the scavengers that day , the castle was their main focus. I tried in so many ways to help the citizens but the scavengers were too many that they blocked my way from helping them. I fought tirelessly with my guards and servants but the more we kill them , the more they multiply but that didn't stop from fighting for what is ours , we kept on fighting until the queen of the scavengers, who we call ' the queen of mystics' falled from the sky into the building making a loud sound that made everyone to divert their gaze on her , she casted a spell on me when still in the air that made me paralyzed , she then casted another spell when she reached the ground that killed all my servants and guards at once before she turned her focus towards me . she tried to force me to hand over the kings egg to her but I refused. with rage and anger she cuts off my both hands to make me agree to her request of handing the egg to her but I stood on my ground , my daughter later came to save me thereby putting me in a difficult condition. she fought with all her strength with the queen but the queen was to powerful for her, the queen later caught her and used her to threaten me to hand over the egg to her or else she will kill my daughter.... "
" did you give it to her ?" Kein asked in the middle of the explanation
" hell no, if I had , you wouldn't have been given the egg, talk more of being here " in annoyance the king continued from where he stopped " so , I gave her a wrong direction to the place the egg was kept , because I know that even if I was to tell her the right direction she will still kill my daughter being how heartless she is. after I told her the wrong direction she snapped my daughter's head and she died in front of me and I did nothing " a drop of tears rushed down his cheek before he quickly cleaned off and began " after killing my daughter she formed a fireball through her hands and shot it at me, I was paralyzed so I couldn't move so the ball hits me directly in my chest leaving me unconscious , so she went towards the place I told her. your father later came in when am almost dead , he woke me up and asked me of your sister, Melissa...."
" were is she ?, I missed her so much "
" I don't know but she is great kid" the king replied with a bitter smile remembering when his daughter normally walk around with kein's sister in the castle " but your sister was no where to be seen around the castle. using my last strength i summoned the egg before me and handed it to him before asking him to leave the planet with the egg before the queen comes back but little did I know that he gave you the egg at your tender age and sacrificed himself to protect you " the king narrated before summoning two chairs in the void and they sat
" why did the queen wants the egg after all, is just a egg nothing more , why kill all those innocent souls ? " Kein asked, these question has been on his mind ever since the king started his story
" you know nothing Kein, you are just kid . that egg your father handed to you contains more power than you can't imagine. since you are now a member of the king's bloodline maybe you should know something about the egg" the king pointed out before adjusting himself
