Chapter 18 - Monk

The second shinobi war was coming to an end and it turned out the Konoha the village hidden in the leaves, successfully fought off against the four nations and managed to hold their own. They later requested a peace treaty from the remaining three nations, to which they agreed.

Soon it would be an age of peace, but the war did leave scars on everyone, scars that can't be forgotten. The four nations were slowly recovering and things were slowly turning back to normal, apart from the small fights whenever each other's shinobi saw each other, nothing too major happened as that was to be expected.

Quite a few shinobi made a name for themselves such as the three legendary Sannin. The Legendary Sannin is a group of three extremely powerful shinobi, Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Orochimaru. They were each famous for their part in the shinobi war and their vast knowledge and capabilities.

They were given their name from Hanzo The Salamander the leader of Amegakure, (the capital of the land of rain) from surviving their fight against him whilst also pressuring him. Tsunade was especially helpful during the war because her medical skills were second to none and because she also saved many people from poison, from a shinobi called Lady Chiyo.

Some other famous shinobi from the war consisted of Sakumo Hatake called the white fang of the leaf, also the current Hokage called Hiruzen Sarutobi was recognized by everyone as the current strongest.

Since the war had ended Konan was finally allowed access to Konoha to search for Izuna, so she was currently on her way there, although it would take some time to reach as she was still in Sunagakure in the land of wind.

They all suffered considerable amounts which would be a good thing for the other nations, this meant that it would be easier to attack and take over the nation, but they didn't. Although they were weak they wouldn't go down without a fight.

If another nation attacked them, they would have to be prepared to take heavy losses before they would get the victory. This was the reason why no other nation attacked them.

*on top of the God Tree*

Izuna was currently trying to fuse the last of the chakra fruit into his chakra. He had constantly felt big changes in his body making him at a high Jonin level. He can be considered a high Jonin level because he didn't have many Jutsu in his arsenal, as he was only taught the art of assassination.

The leader of T.R.E.E didn't feel comfortable teaching a potential threat Jutsu, because if he ate the chakra fruit and he managed to regain his memories they would need a way to apprehend him. They weren't sure of the effects of the chakra fruit so they went on the safe side. They couldn't have a couple of hundreds of years of planning go down the drain just because of carelessness.

Little did they know that the moment Izuna began to eat the fruit, someone was able to sense this, and was curious about who could eat the incomplete chakra fruit. Even though it had no use to them, due to it being an incomplete chakra fruit they were curious. But due to them being injured it took a while to reach here.

After Izuna had eaten the chakra fruit, his body wasn't comparable to before. On the outside, it hadn't changed but he could feel the changes clear as night. The hardest part was now over without any problems, but the Izuna was so mentally drained that when he had finished, he instantly fell asleep.

Since the previous chakra fruit wasn't fully developed but had been eaten the God tree couldn't produce another chakra fruit. It could've been able to produce another fruit if it had produced a complete chakra fruit but it hadn't.

To be able to produce another chakra fruit, the god tree needs the previous one to slightly nourish the new fruit with some of its Chakra.

It's sort of like a chicken where it has to hatch the eggs for the chick to be born and eat and grow by itself, then the cycle is repeated. It's not certain that the god tree will always be able to produce another fruit, as problems can happen such as the tree could fail or the fruit being unable to nourish the seed of the next fruit.

Slowly waking up from his sleep, he looked around. He was so high up that there weren't any clouds around, just the morning sky with the sun rising. Getting up he felt amazing, he looked around one last time before jumping off the tree.

Currently free-falling from about two thousand feet, his mind was completely blank just like his emotionless face. Nearing the floor he quickly activated his rib cage Susanoo, and plummet right into the ground leaving a twenty-meter wide crater.

Getting on his feet he wiped off the dust from his shoulders and looked at his Susanoo. Not even a scratch or crack was there, just like Izuna has suspected all his powers naturally skyrocketed, this was because his chakra was so dense and pure allowing him to boost his Jutsu to the maximum.

It was also thanks to his eternal Mangekyou Sharingan which made his Susanoo stronger whilst using less chakra than normal and almost no eye strain. Truly amazing he thought.

Then he walked back to the laboratory, as he opened the gate by force because nobody had opened it for him, he looked around to only see it quiet. He didn't think much and just kept walking toward the main room.

Sliding the huge metal door open with pure strength, he saw the scene of an absolute massacre, but instead of being shocked, scared, and angry, Izuna felt completely nothing.

He walked forward, his footsteps echoed in the massive room. He just simply walked to the edge of the second floor and peered down at the first floor. The room was circular with a balcony running along the walls which was the second floor, currently where Izuna was standing. The first floor was just an open area, well at least it used to be.

Currently, the was a small mountain of black rods decorated with human bodies, if anyone else were to see this they wouldn't be able to sleep for the rest of their life, but here Izuna stood emotionless.

There wasn't a drop of sadness in his heart, this wasn't because he knew what they had done to him, it was because he didn't feel emotions and also because he had no attachments to these people, all he was taught was to follow his orders.

"That's quite the entrance you made out there" a deep voice was heard from the other side of the room.

Izuna didn't even flinch, he looked at the hooded figure before returning his gaze to the pile of bodies. He stood there silently.

"Hmm, don't you feel anything for these dead people," the person asked in a curious tone.

Izuna kept his gaze in the middle and replied "what use is it mourning over the dead, besides I had no attachment to them,".

"Oh isn't that funny, the one they tried so hard to create turned out to be a failure" the man then proceeded to take off his hood.

He was a fairly tall man of light complexion. He had a shaved head, apart from a long mohawk of black hair tied in a long ponytail style reaching his lower back, pronounced eye ridges void of brows, a broad nose, and large black eyes.

He had a diamond-shaped mark on his chin and a Roman numeral "Ⅳ" tattooed below his left eye. He also wore five red earrings on the top of each ear and an additional one at the bottom of each ear. With his loose white robe and a black belt holding it together, he looked like a monk.

Seeing as Izuna had no intention of talking and asking questions he said "these guys were very weak, I hope you can entertain me for a while." And with that, he vanished from where he was currently standing.

Quickly activating his eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, Izuna felt a presence beside him and instantly lifted his arms in a cross shape to block the blow.

Just as he brought his arms up, a kick connected to them, Izuna tried to stand his ground but he wasn't expecting this much power behind this person's kick.

It felt like a normal person being hit by a bus. The power was too much he also caught Izuna off guard, he was sent flying. He crashed through a couple of brick walls before coming to a stop.

Standing up Izuna still had his expressionless face but with blood dripping from his mouth, it was obviously an internal wound. Then he raised his arms and looked at them. They were completely smashed and broken. His bone could be seen, but it was healing at a visible rate, as the blood started to smoke and it entirely stopped bleeding.

The person looked at Izuna what a curious gaze and thought. 'Why isn't he in pain, his arms and ribs are broken and some of his organs have burst, how can he even be standing right now, hmm very interesting.

Izuna ignored his broken arms and ran at the person at full speed, which caught the person off guard, as he shouldn't even be able to move right now.

As Izuna approached him, he returned his kick and sent the person flying back to where he came from.

The person just simply stood up and dusted himself off there wasn't even a scratch on him, and he glared at Izuna, who returned it with his emotionless gaze.

His arms still dangling by his side, even if he had inhuman healing that had been boosted by the chakra fruit, his arms would still be out of commission for a while.

Meanwhile, the person was thinking 'I never thought that a human would be able to use the power from the chakra fruit, no he has strong Ōtsutsuki blood in him. That means that I can't feed him to my ten tails'.

He continued to contemplate 'this kid has great potential and talent, he would be very useful in my organization, I planned to look for members later when I have fully healed but it wouldn't hurt to start now.'

The person then said something very shocking in his usual deep tone "Hmm, how would you like to join my organization".
