Waking up in the morning, I put my bed away and quickly washed myself with a water Jutsu.
I went to one of the nearby bars and had breakfast, nobody was around as it was only five in the morning, so I sat down and ate by myself.
We would be able to reach Kumogakure today at about seven-thirty. I could say that I was somewhat excited, but on the outside, it didn't look like it, as I still had my emotionless face.
I knew that I would need to get information about the war that was going on at the moment. I could travel on my own as I was probably as strong as a mid-Kage, but it wouldn't hurt to get information.
After all, I was only one man, and I did have some flaws, such as limited chakra and I could get fatigued.
After eating, I thanked the bar owner and walked back to the cart. The old man was sleeping so I went to a secluded place to do some sword training, but I made sure to keep sensing around me, and sense when the old man woke up.
After a while, I could sense that he was up so I headed back. Greeting the old man, we talked for a while before packing up ready to go. Needless to say, it was another peaceful day.
As we approached Kumogakure I could see that the village was made in the mountains and that everything was made out of stone.
As we got to the entrance, a few Kumo Shinobi checked us and our reason for the visit. This was when I was thankful for the old man, as he showed his pass, and the guards let us in straight away, they didn't even both ask who I was as they assumed that I was with the old man, something I was relieved about.
Looking around I could see that it was a lively village, with people and shops everywhere even though we were only in the outer section of the village.
Looking around I saw that some shinobi were all wearing dark clothes, with a white vest but it only had one shoulder strap. I had read about this before, it was sort of like the green Konoha Jonin vest but for the Jonin of Kumo.
I saw the old man stop the cart and I knew that this was where we would split, I walked over to him and thanked him for all his help, I also handed him some Ryo, which he gladly accepted.
After talking for a bit and saying out fair wells, I walked off to find a place to have dinner. I went to the nearest bar as I figured that I could also eavesdrop and find out some useful information.
As I walked in I ordered some food and sat on an empty table to the side of the room. I didn't get any weird looks, because I hid under my cloak. I sat down and removed my cloak, making sure to not make a scene.
I just order a bottle of sake and a meal, then I tuned in on some of the conversations. After about an hour, all I had heard was some small talk about the war which matched all that I had found out from the bandit.
I did get a few people looking at me, mostly women admiring my looks but I just ignored them, I also got a few jealous drunk men looking at me with annoyance.
Since there wasn't much going on I decided that I should probably leave and find a place to rest for the night. As I was just about to put my cloak on and leave, a group of drunk men started to walk over to my table.
"I ain't seen you before huh, where you from," one of them said which drew some attention from people nearby.
I looked around and saw the people nearby looking at me, 'tch not what I wanted, anyways what do these bastards want'. "It doesn't matter where I'm from" I replied.
The other man saw that as me being rude and since he was a bit drunk and his mind was clouded he started to get angry and said, "huh, are you getting rude, we just wanted to know who you were, that all" as he slammed his fist on the table.
This got the attention of almost everyone. the female waiter thought 'uhh who is this time, I swear if he keeps picking fights with people, he's going to get banned'. She looked over at me as I was now the center of attention. 'Oh it's him, he's quite handsome, how did I miss someone like him'.
I didn't say anything but just looked at the man with my expressionless face. He had the white Jonin vest indicating that he was a Jonin. 'how troublesome I thought'.
The man started to get angry that I was ignoring him, so he turned to his group of friends and said "heh boys, it seems like this man is being rude, he's looking down on us, so I think we have to give this newcomer a warm welcome" he slammed his fist into his palm to look intimidating with a smile on his face.
"Yeah we cant let people humiliate us like that" the rest replied while also grinning.
I just looked at them, then I heard the waitress say "hey, there's no fighting aloud" she sounded worried for me.
"Look he's the one who started it so I'm gonna Finnish it," the man said while throwing a punch to my face.
I simply moved my head to the side to dodge it, which ended up making him more annoyed. He began to throw more punches at me, when he saw me effortlessly doge them with my face unchanging like I was bored, he flipped the table attempting to hit me.
I grabbed my cloak lying on the back of my chair and jumped over the table. I did a spin and sent a kick to the top of the man's head midair, which caught him off guard as he must have thought I was a weak Chunin.
What he also didn't expect is the power behind my kick, as it planted his face into the floor. I didn't have much money so I didn't want to cause damage therefore the floor would do the job.
It wouldn't have been so easy if the man wasn't drunk or let his guard down because he thought I was weak. So this allowed me to land an easy hit.
I gracefully landed back on the floor, my face didn't change even when I saw his unconscious body on the floor. I walked over to the waitress and handed her the money for my meal before walking away.
Everyone was confused and shocked about what just happened. The group of men just looked at my back, mouth wide open, they didn't know what happened or what to do because it all happened too quick.
The waitress was the first to come to, after a few seconds of silence she shouted "take the man and get out, I saw what happened and you guys were the ones that started it,". She looked to the door and thought 'damn that was hot'.
I was walking down the road 'so annoying, it's not like I wanted to make a scene, anyways I won't be staying here too long, I should find a place to stay for the night'.
After a while of walking, I stopped and looked at a sign above a building that said 'Bed and Breakfast'. 'This should do' I thought before walking in.
