"Our approach needs to be on point, otherwise we won't succeed," Mr. Greenfield spoke.
Cindy listened attentively as his words seeped into her mind and awoke a desire for justice. He was calm, the kind of calm that could rebuke a raging storm. He was calm, yet his words were as violent as an erupting volcano.
"Jake doesn't want me involved," Cindy said.
Jake had tried to keep her away from the issue of vengeance, even though she knew there was a plan brewing. Whenever they were in the company of Jade, they would have these secret meetings wherein they spoke with lowered voices. Their silence whenever she would rejoin the gang from short hiatuses she took gave them away. What else would they say that they did not want her to hear?
