"We ran several tests and discovered benzodiazepines in her system. We suspect these and trauma to the head must have caused what we hope is iatrogenic amnesia. If that is not the case, then we would need to run more tests and pray a little harder."
"Could you repeat that in English please doctor?" Jake requested.
"She does not remember what just happened to her and we expect she is going through a temporary episode of memory lapse. This usually lasts between six to ten hours, but in some cases even up to twenty-four hours," the doctor explained.
"Is she going to be okay?" Cindy asked. She was contemplative, her arms folded over her chest.
"We have to wait and see. We are going to run more tests, hopefully we will come up with a more definitive position. In the meantime, let her rest and recover from her disorientation."
The doctor nodded with a smile as he walked away.
