Chapter 43 - Holding the breath
The creature walked alone. However, suddenly behind him appeared three similar creatures from behind the tree. Their tension increased. The four beasts were walking towards them around where they were. Their way of walking by dragging their feet is even among these creatures in a flaccid state.
Darren and Jase were on standby. They didn't want to shoot and get stabbed by them. No wonder they are susceptible to sound because they have vast earlobes but are blind.
They couldn't speak and communicate properly even though the magic barrier had protected them. They couldn't move or talk to each other. Darren wanted to approach Jase to say and got closer.
Jase glared at Darren and wanted him close. Jase didn't want Darren to act recklessly and could make a sound that would attract the creatures with the sound they emit.
