Chapter 49 – The Contaminated
Jase walked to the tombs and put his hands on the chest, praying for forgiveness for them and being given a proper place by the gods.
After praying, Jase is silent. He walked over to Darren's horse and was faithfully standing with them. Gently patting the horse's shoulder, Darren was still sitting on the fallen log.
Darren stood up and walked over to Jase.
"Do you want to continue your journey?" Darren asked, holding his horse's leash.
Jase didn't answer. His feelings were now wavering because, from the start, Darren had been kind enough to warn him to be careful while outside. Meanwhile, with his selfishness, he forced himself to follow Darren wherever he went.
Darren also wondered why Jase wanted to accompany himself to the Mana Controller's residence in such a way. Meanwhile, Darren just wanted to find information and prevention to solve the problems in Rhodes.
