Chapter 47 - The boy who will put in the effort
Finally, Darren carried Jase's body, putting him on the horse, followed by himself riding on the horse's body. The horses flew quickly from tree to tree without making the slightest sound, as if they were walking on clouds.
Darren held Jase tightly, and he hugged him tightly. Jase's body weakened. His body felt feverish, and his hands cooled at each tip of his fingers. Darren also looked at Jase's face, which was full of sweat and lips turning blue.
Their refuge was far away from Darren's.
"Tsk," said Darren.
Arriving at their hiding place, Darren laid Jase's body on the bed near the bonfire. Darren's black horse was wagging because too many leaves were stuck to the body.
Covering Jase's body, who is still trying hard to get through his critical period. Darren took the cloth from his supplies and doused it with water that the fire had warmed. The water floated in bubbles and circled the fire.
