The back-breaking meeting once again kept Yuvika engrossed, due to which she wasn't able to see Ayushman. But the moment she reached the cabin, she found Ashutosh sleeping soundly, something that had never happened before.
The foremost person who would advocate Kirti's rules in the company and would stick to them. She couldn't help but stare at him fondly. The work can be tiring greatly.
She got back to her desk and started using her work as a cover to stare at her oh-so-ethereal husband. Well, God indeed has made him in his leisure time, with lot's of fondness and love. Otherwise how can such a personality exist!
[ Guys, my friend Author Anny has described Song Jung Ki ssi in a better way than mine and I am planning to use that description in the near future. So, stay tuned.]
Ashutosh woke up with a start only to find Yuvika drowned in her work. Ah! He must have been so tired that he fell asleep the moment he closed his eyes. All the blame goes to this coward lil hamster who only shows her daredevil side when he is sleeping or pretending to be.
He noticed her being focused on work and sighed, then started working on his project. Unknown to the fact, a certain daredevil was ogling at him, but the moment he stirred, she was back to her working format.
If he had checked then he would have noticed that the file she was holding was upside down. While the person with more than a hundred words per minute typing rate was pressing a single key for the whole time.
When she used her hearing senses and found him lost in his work, then she corrected herself and started to focus on her work. But that soundly sleeping face was definitely messing with her mind, leading to lot's of typos, thus delaying the work.

Soon, it was the time for lunch and Yuvika as usual was about to leave to bring her food, when the thought of Ayushman made her hault. Gosh, she dislikes his clingy nature alot. She could tell that guy must have been at leisure to follow her around. Or he doesn't care about his job to work on the monthly achievement criteria of his only because of which he can stay in the company.
Well, whatever the reason would be, she just doesn't want to face him. So, she simply made a phone call and let one of the assistants bring the food.
Ashutosh rise his head and watch the scenario with a frown look.
' Miss Chauhan, you don't have to worry about my health that much. If you are busy then just focus on your work. Why disturb others for this? ' He asked with an arched brow.
Fine, he could tell something was off with her. But he isn't a god to read her mind and offer her help. She has to tell him what is bothering her. She has to talk it through with him.
Even if she likes that fellow and is regretting her decision of marrying her and choosing to give her precious time and love to him. She has to tell him. Or does she really have to treat him like a stranger who is her responsibility, nothing else?
He is getting it hard to understand her. Sometimes she acts like a lovestruck fool, like a daredevil but the moment she meets that guy she forgets about him and remains lost in that fellow's thoughts.
She talks with him, laughs with him, blush while staring at him, trying to find ways and excuses to meet him, to see him. She even put her work aside for that. Yet now when it comes to him, then she doesn't even want to go and bring food for him on her own.
Does she really like that guy? Does she really dislike him or worse hate him? Is it because he wasn't gentle with her the first night? Is it because he hasn't been caring, loving and understanding enough? Is it because he prioritizes his work over her? Is it?
'It's not like that, Mr. Pratihast. It's just that…. that… I mean…I am sorry. Let me go and bring the food myself.' She said with a deep sigh. Making him stare at her for a good few minutes, but he didn't say anything.
She left everything as it was and left the room to bring the food personally. Making him turn on the CCTV footage and as he expected there they were the lovebirds, using his meal as an excuse.
Does she really have to do this?
~~
Well, Yuvika could tell that Ashutosh was hurt for god knows why. Since, she doesn't want to upset him further. So, she decided to face it and walk all the way to the food hub. As expected, Ayushman pops out of nowhere on the pretext of searching a HOD's office.
Earning a deep sigh from her. After all, HOD's office was just two department blocks away from the Food Hub.
~~
'Oi Yuvi.' Ayushman waves at her the moment she gets out of her office.
'Hi.' She replied robotically.
' Are you stressed again? Is the work that difficult?' Ayushman asked again, hoping to strike the conversation.
'Can work ever be easy for someone, which reminds me I have never seen you working. Don't tell me you got the post of a cleaner here. Roaming here and there.' Yuvika asked back while not even staring at him, continuously walking towards Food Hub.
'Hahaha. Your sense of humor is pretty bad, Yuvi. You shouldn't try it with others.
'sides, I was looking for HOD's office to collect some files for my Director. Do ya know where it could be?' He asked cheesily, while covering the distance and stopping her in the hallway. His arm stretched enough for her to halt, unless she wanted her chest to touch with his arm.
' I don't know.' She replied while stopping in her way.
'Oh come on. I heard you are an acting CEO here. Do you really not know, or don't wanna tell me?' He asked haughtily in his raspy voice while covering the distance in between them, getting uncomfortably closer.
' Since you know that I am the acting CEO. Then don't you know they come to me and not the other way round for me to know where they exist?' She replied irritatingly, trying to get out of the discomfort zone.
But how could she, when she was entrapped in between the wall and the man. The more away she would get, the more he would lean in.
'Oh. Point. Smart ass. Nevermind. Let's find it together. Or my senior will fire me for lazing around and blah blah they said. Gosh, why must this company have so many rules? Can't they let the employees breathe? ' Ayushman said, while letting her go from his clutches and bringing back the distance in between them.
After all, he was also present when Ashutosh gave a really very long and boring speech about equality shit. So, the last thing he wants is to ruin his future for this damned girl.
' If you dislike it so much, then just leave it.' She replied annoyingly. Gosh, only she knows how much she hates when someone tries to backbite about The Raj.
'Oh come on sweetie. How can I, when you are here? Even if this company is treacherous and human exploiting, unless you are here, I won't mind bearing with it. ' Ayushman replied with his enchanting smile, making her freeze on the spot.
Well, Ayushman thought she was affected by his charm. But the moment she saw that enchanting smile, flashes started to appear in her head. Flashes of the man, who must be patiently waiting for her to bring him some food, the man who was upset.
'I-I need to go.' She replied, feeling flustered all over.
'Of course, sweetie. Let's go together, wherever you wanna go.' Ayushman said while placing his arm on her shoulder and letting her guide him away.
She was too engrossed, too distracted by the images of the sleeping figure of Ashutosh in the cabin to care about anything. Soon, they reach the Food Hub. From where Ayushman left her to do his job. While she remains in daze.
[Time for using my friend's description. Side profile. ]
The flashes of his face kept popping in her head. His round shaped face was looking more chiseled from this angle which was resting on his arm at the table.
His straight forehead shining under the beam of light. His perfect hairline was on full display from this angle and some of the locks of his perfectly set hairs were falling on the sides. Creating that side parted short-hairstyle look. This angle was barely trying to hide his silky, beigy nape and once you look at the front side of him, his throat, his Adam apple can show up enchanting, encaptivating when he gulps.
Those monolid dragon shaped eyes with straight eyebrows set are effortlessly able to freeze anyone's footsteps, especially girls. It was these eyebrows which have stopped the heart-beats of many employees, whenever arched at them.
